New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and with it starts production on Garry Marshall's follow-up to the celeb-packed "Valentine's Day," appropriately titled "New Year's Eve." The film follows a whole bunch of couples ringing in the new year in NYC, and since the film hasn't started filming yet, we figured now would be as good a time as any to come up with a list of 11 New Year's resolutions for the upcoming movie.

We all know it's tough to stick to our resolutions throughout the entire year, but hopefully "New Year's Eve" will make good on a couple of our suggestions. After all, is it so tough to cast Alexander Skarsgård or get Lady Gaga to perform a song-and-dance number in the flick? Didn't think so. Click on after the jump to see the resolutions!

Does it come as any surprise that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is the film we're most looking forward to in 2011? Well, it shouldn't. Even though we love ourselves some "Twilight" and are really excited about "Breaking Dawn: Part 1," it just couldn't rival the franchise-concluding (not to mention era-ending) "Deathly Hallows: Part 2." There's no more "Potter" at all after that. (The video games don't count, sorry guys.)

It doesn't hurt that "Part 2" contains all the best parts of the "Deathly Hallows" storyline. There are dragons, make-outs, exciting flashback revelations and that whole final battle scene to look forward to. That, and the fact that many of our favorite deceased "Potter" characters are going to be making cameo appearances in the film. We missed you, Sirius Black!

When "Glory Daze"'s Drew Seeley asked followers on Twitter today, "New Years is sneaking up quick! What are your resolutions??" plenty of people chimed in with what they plan to change in 2011. But it seems some celebs have no intention of making any whatsoever, including singer Rob Thomas who wrote, "my new years resolution this year is to not make any resolutions." Same goes for "The Hills" star Kristin Cavallari (pictured) who wrote, "I'm not making a new years resolution bc I never stick with it...but if I did, it would be to stop swearing. That'll never happen!"

While many stars may not be making any changes for the new year, there's one thing they are all doing as of late: watching Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis totally bring it in "Black Swan"! Rocker Gavin Rossdale urged, "Black swan is completely brilliant- check it out" and it seems like plenty of moviegoers have already taken his advice. Actress Sophia Bush admitted, "Spent my first 10min awake this AM staring out the window thinking about Black Swan. And I'm still thinking about it! Must see it again..." while "So You Think You Can Dance" finalist Lacey Schwimmer has already viewed it for a second time, telling fans, "Black Swan round 2 was even better! I actually got to see the real story! Beautiful!"

With the ball dropping in less than 48 hours, the rush is on to stockpile all the New Year's Eve necessities—a little bubbly, funny party hats and, unfortunately, those annoying party blower things. Sadly, one item this writer has yet to lock down is a midnight kissing partner, and since I plan to spend the evening with my female bestie, it's likely I won't find one at all. Wah, wah, wah. BUT, that doesn't stop me from fantasizing about which Hollywood hunk I'd pucker up to if given the chance. Yeah...I've got several in mind. How about you? Which dreamy celeb would you plant a New Year's smooch on if you could? Vote in our poll after the jump. If we didn't include your favorite, make sure to give him a shout-out in the comments!

Now that we've decided (or rather, YOU'VE decided) which 2010 YA novel was tops, it's time to turn our attention to the plethora of books that will fill our shelves, nightstands, desks, coffee tables—you get the point—in 2011. Happily, many of our favorite authors will be back with sequels and spin-offs, meaning a year of guaranteed great reads. So, without further ado, here's our countdown of the 11 YA novels we can't wait to read in 2011!

11. "Where She Went" by Gayle Forman (April 5, 2011)
We'll admit this sequel to Gayle's heart-wrenching "If I Stay" is a bit of a head-scratcher. Mia's bittersweet story seemed so perfectly wrapped-up in "If I Stay" that it's hard to see the need for a follow-up. However, the fact that this tale is narrated by Mia's ex-boyfriend Adam—three years after the events of the first novel—adds enough intrigue that we'll totally stay.

With 2011 mere heartbeats away, we couldn't help but reminisce about our favorite portrayals of New Year's Eve on the silver screen. Cinematically, the New Year is a symbol for new beginnings, as exemplified by our top five NYE moments below. If your plans are more of the cuddle-by-the-fire than shimmy-at-the-club variety, consider popping one of these faves into your DVD player to appropriately say sayonara to 2010.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens in "High School Musical"
Our favorite Disney couple, Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), meets at a New Year’s Eve party. They're both tentative when the host picks them for karaoke, but by the end of "Start of Something New," it's obvious these two lovebirds were made to sing and dance together. Oh, Zac and Vanessa, "Get'cha Head in the Game" and get back together!

Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet in "A Lot Like Love"
After meeting on a plane (and joining the mile high club), Emily (Amanda Peet) calls Oliver (Ashton Kutcher) in a bout of New Year's Eve loneliness. Thus begins a long-distance friendship that develops into true love. Aww!

Just how badly are actresses in Hollywood dying to play the role of Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming adaptation of "The Hunger Games"? Well, apparently "Gulliver's Travels" star Emily Blunt is contemplating a facelift to convince director Gary Ross that she could look young enough to play the part.

"Well, I could do it," she said, faux serious. "[Katniss is] supposed to be like 16. Maybe I'll go in for a quick facelift. I'll turn up for my meeting with Garry Ross and be like [pulls the skin on her face tight], 'Can I please have this part?'"

Okay, so this one's a no-brainer. We cannot wait for the fourth installment of the "Twilight" saga—our No. 2 most anticipated film of 2011—to hit theaters November 18.

Like "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" before it, we suspect that the splitting point between Parts 1 and 2 will be a well-guarded secret. It's likely, however, that the first movie will end around the start of Book Three: the dividing line between Bella's human and vampire life.

We can already visualize the possibilities. Bella reaches for the cup of blood, unleashes a bloodcurdling scream and the screen goes blank! Or, Edward delivers the baby, turns to Bella, murmurs, "Renesmee" (signifying that the baby is not the boy Bella dreamed of, but a girl) and the screen goes blank! Or perhaps Bella endures the burning transformation, her heart dramatically stops beating, she opens her vampire eyes for the first time…and the screen goes blank! You get the picture.

Just when you thought reality television hadn't shocked us enough, along comes TLC's latest called "My Strange Addiction," a show about, well, people with some very strange compulsions (example: eating paper!) "Jersey Shore" star Snooki could relate, as she told followers, "Excited to watch My strange addiction on @TLC ! My Strange Addiction is pickles......lol jk ;)." Meanwhile, comedian-actor Dane Cook could very well be a viable candidate for the new series, as he joked today, "I don't have OCD. But I really wish the letters were in the correct alphabetical order so I could breathe. CDO ahhh much better."

Speaking of televised embarrassing situations, we're just a few weeks away from the new season of "American Idol," and with it, those (mostly) train wreck-y first round of auditions. Still, it's not the hopefuls hitting wrong notes that Khloe Kardashian is looking forward to, rather the new set of hosts, including Jennifer Lopez (pictured.) Khloe tweeted about the upcoming 10th season, "I'm so excited for American Idol auditions!!!! OMG and JLO looks FLAWLESS in these commercials!!!!"
