Not to be outdone by Natalie Portman's surprising engagement news, LeAnn Rimes announced on her Twitter that she and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian are engaged.
"For those who haven't read, Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays," the country music star tweeted. "It's for real this tine and the first time EVER!"
She added in a later tweet, "It was nice to have our little secret for us our families and friend’s a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans. Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love."
The two lovebirds met and fell in love on the set of the Lifetime Original Movie "Northern Lights" last year, but both were married to other people at the time. After they each became single, Eddie and his two sons moved in with LeAnn and have been happily living together ever since. In early November some engagement rumors surfaced, but LeAnn quickly shot them down.
Ironically, LeAnn's publicist, Rhett Usry, also represents Natalie Portman. LeAnn commented on this in a tweet, adding, "So much for his vacation lol!!! Love you Rhett!!!!!"
