2010 isn't quite over yet, but 2011 is already shaping up to be an epic year. The future is now! A new decade is beginning! And we just know that this is the year that the government will finally start handing out those personal jetpacks and flying cars that we've naturally come to expect as residents of the 21st century.
But if they don't make good with the jetpacks, there are still several other things about 2011 that have us quivering with anticipation—and at the top of the list is the adrenaline-fueled, sure-to-be stunning, girl-powerful new flick "Sucker Punch."
It's no secret that we love movies featuring female heroines who know how to kick some ass, and this one promises to be all kinds of awesome. An all-star cast featuring Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, and Jamie Chung? High-octane action sequences that take place in a post-apocalyptic dreamworld? Pretty girls with perfect lipstick who love to punch and stab and use their thigh-high boots to kick people in the face?!
Yes, please, and thank you.
And with movies like "300" and "Watchmen" under his belt, it's a sure thing that director Zack Snyder will deliver enough stylish, visually-striking action sequences to keep viewers in an elated state of OMGTHISISAWESOME for the entirety of the running time.
Bring it on, 2011.
