It's the most wonderful time of the year! No, not the holidays—we're talking about awards season. Come January, it's time to sit back, tune in and scope out our favorite Hollywood hotties in their natural habitat. And this year, it looks like we'll get an eyeful of some serious talent at the season-starting People's Choice Awards on January 5, which just announced a swanky guest list that includes all the usual crush-worthy suspects.
Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart are among the first to confirm that they'll be attending, making the pair a recurring feature on the red carpet (remember their adorable joint presentation of a "scary movie"-themed feature at last year's Academy Awards?), and they'll be in good company with a host of other celebs including Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Emma Roberts, Leighton Meester, and Mila Kunis. Also on the list: Natalie Portman and Katy Perry, who we're sincerely hoping to see accompanied by—respectively—a brand-new baby bump and a tuxedo-clad Russell Brand.

2010 was supposed to be a big year for easy-on-the-eyes British actor Alex Pettyfer. The 20-year-old was to have made his leading man debut alongside Vanessa Hudgens in the romantic drama "Beastly"...but then Zac Efron got in the way. When the release date for Zac's "Charlie St. Cloud" was switched to the same day as "Beastly"'s, studio execs decided to postpone the film until 2011.
For fans dying to get a glimpse of Alex on the big screen, this meant another seven months of waiting—though for Alex, it's garnered him a whole lot of buzz. We'll see if the delayed gratification pays off when Alex finally saunters onto the silver screen February 18 in the supernatural thriller "I Am Number Four." As we highlight the films we're excited for in 2011, "I Am Number Four" has—rather appropriately—landed at No. 4 on our countdown.

Even though the new year is still a few days away, we can't help but look forward to all of the great TV series returning in 2011. Obviously, at the top of our list is HBO's vampire drama "True Blood." Now, we know the show won't be back until the summer—months and months from now—but that doesn't mean we haven't begun speculating about the shenanigans season four will bring.
One face we'd love to see back is Michael McMillian, whom you may know better as Rev. Steve Newlin, the maniacal head of the Fellowship of the Sun. SplashPage editor Rick Marshall chatted with Michael recently about his latest comic book endeavor (more on that in a bit), and we just had to know whether Steve would be returning to the environs of Bon Temps.

The gritty drama of "Blue Valentine" (in theaters tomorrow) has everyone talking, and not just about the film's great performances by stars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling. The movie tells the story of a marriage in crisis, and when it comes to its portrayal of love, it's sexy, complicated, and brutally honest...and of course, not exactly age-appropriate for Michelle's five year-old daughter, Matilda.
Michelle has often talked about how hard it is to balance her role as a parent with her work as an actor—a job that's inherently unstable and emotionally taxing even on good days. So when MTV News spoke with her about her role in "Blue Valentine," the question was: How does she feel about having made the film and about the possibility of her little girl one day seeing this movie?
Turns out that the actress has been asking herself the same thing. She replied, "I've been thinking about that recently. I thought, 'What would her reaction to that be?'"

With Christmas firmly in their rearview mirrors, celebs are now focused on New Year's Eve, and thus, reflecting on the year that was 2010. Plenty of stars can boast that this was one of their biggest years, including Rihanna, who celebrated a recent milestone on Twitter with her followers today, "Yo seriously, shout out to the #LOUDEST fans in the world for takin this 2 million worlwide! Big up ya self#out2all." But, Rihanna wasn't the only one blowing up the charts this year, just look at Lady Gaga! The game-changing Grammy-nominee (pictured) wrote from her page, "THE FAME MONSTER was named the best-selling album of 2010! I'm so excited for the future, believe + work hard, you will achieve your dreams."
While famous faces in Hollywood stayed warm (Rihanna spent her holiday in Barbados!) and celebrated the end of the year, those on the other side of the country were stuck inside due to the massive blizzard (better known as Snowpocalypse) which hit over the holiday weekend. As singer/actress Naturi Naughton put it, " Omg!This snow outside is ridiculous! East Coast got smacked with this blizzard!" Still, rapper 50 Cent thought of a way to make the best of a chilly situation, as he posted, "I'm going out to shovel snow and see if I can make me a few extra dollars today. I'm charging more if they want to take pictures."

Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! When news broke today that "Black Swan" star Natalie Portman was not only engaged to Benjamin Millepied, but expecting a baby, as well, fans were no doubt left muttering, "Wow!" quickly followed by "Benjamin, who!?!" It's true the ballet dancer isn't as high profile as some of Natalie's former beaus, like actor Gael Garcia Bernal, but he's a talent in his own right in the world of ballet. Get acquainted with the hunky dancer with our list of five things you should know about him:
1. He's French
Benjamin grew up in the lush region of Bordeaux, France, so does that mean we should expect a billingual baby? Our guess is Oui, oui! At the very least, we should start taking bets on French-inspired baby names. We'll place $10 on Jacques Portman-Millepied for a boy and Marie Portman-Millepied for a girl.
2. He choreographed "Black Swan"
If you found yourself in awe over the pirouetting in Darren Aronofsky's dark dance thriller, you have Mr. Millepied to thank for that. In addition to choreographing and training Natalie and co-star Mila Kunis, he also played Natalie's dance partner in the film, which means you probably have seen him before.

She may have two Academy Awards to her name, but Hilary Swank is hardly resting on her well-deserved laurels. In fact, it appears the actress is eying a second career in the fashion industry. First came the news last month that Hilary will host an as-yet-untitled fashion game show on The CW, and now Women's Wear Daily is reporting that Hilary is developing her own fashion line!
Hilary has been working with DMA Designers Management Agency to develop the concept for her athletic-inspired collection and is interviewing fashion designers to help her with the line.

Those of you counting down the days until Robert Pattinson returns to the big screen need to add seven more days to your calendars. Twentieth Century Fox has moved the release of "Water for Elephants" back a week, so now it will be released on April 22, 2011. The release date change was apparently prompted by Warner Bros. moving Steve Carrell's upcoming flick "Crazy, Stupid, Love" from April 22 to July 29.
As bummed as we are about the delay of what could be Rob's finest film yet, at least it resolves the conflict of "Scream 4" and "Water for Elephants" coming out on the same weekend. In fact, now "Water for Elephants" has no other film on its opening weekend to steal its target audience (a.k.a. us), unless you're really into "African Cats" or "Madea's Big Happy Family."
To help ease the pain of that one long, unfortunate week, we've come up with a seven-day game plan for you to get your RPattz fix!

Crushers, we hope you had a wonderfully relaxing Christmas and received every little thing your heart desired! While we were busy indulging in Christmas dinner, putting our pop-culture presents to good use and avoiding this horrific blizzard sweeping the East Coast, our favorite celebrities were getting into the holiday spirit as well. And, as a little belated present to you guys, we're giving you a neatly wrapped recap of all their crazy holiday shenanigans.

Let's start off with the bad news. Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson officially filed for divorce, but fortunately they still remain great friends. But that depressing announcement was balanced by news that "Big Love" and "He's Just Not That Into You" star Ginnifer Goodwin got engaged to her boyfriend Joey Kern!
