Those of you hoping for a Christmas present in the form of a Katniss Everdeen casting announcement might want to revise your wishlist for Santa. "Hunger Games" producer Nina Jacobson told the Los Angeles Times yesterday that casting for the dystopian thriller will not begin until the new year. And whether your vote's for Malese Jow, Hailee Steinfeld or newcomer Danielle Churchran for the coveted role, Nina added that there are absolutely no front-runners at this point.
"We have so many great young actors right now whose representatives are interested, or who are interested themselves," she said. "It really comes down to finding that person who can capture the physicality, the vulnerability and the toughness. She's a paradoxical character and you need somebody who has the range to capture all of those dimensions."

Is Robert Pattinson a big ol' scrooge? It would appear so. Well, at least in Jimmy Fallon's latest installment of his "Late Night" video series "Robert Is Bothered," in which he dresses like the "Twilight" star's alter ego Edward Cullen and complains from a tree. As you might guess, "Robert" has a lot to say about all things merry and bright.
"Holidays bother me. Shopping bothers me. Christmas shopping bothers me. Christmas shopping is stupid," he yells. Oh, "Robert," we're all about the holiday spirit here at Hollywood Crush, but you do make a good point: "So let me get this straight," he says. "I'm supposed to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, drive 20 minutes to a mall just to spend two hours trying to find a parking spot, to buy a present I can't afford, for people I don't like?!" The Christmas cheer is just enveloping us like a warm winter blanket. (P.S. Rudolph—Please don't get plastic surgery. We dig your very shiny nose!)

From the first day of January we knew 2010 was going to be the year of "Harry Potter." After many years of waiting, Universal Orlando was going to finally open the doors of Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the first of the two "Deathly Hallows" flicks was going to hit theaters. While "Harry Potter" didn't dominate Hollywood Crush headlines the same way "Twilight" did, it certainly was a powerhouse franchise to be reckoned with.
And, sadly, it looks like 2011 will more or less be the last year of "Harry Potter." We've been following the tale of The Boy Who Lived since J.K. Rowling released "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" in 1997 (it hit stateside in 1998), and next year will herald the release of the final "Harry Potter" film, hopefully, ever. In the spirit of appreciating it while it lasts, we're taking a look back at what made 2010 such a special year for Harry and his friends.

Oh sure, it's been fun to look back on 2010's biggest personalities and best-dressed celebs...but we know that today's year-end superlative is the one you've all been waiting for. Because between hookups and breakups, style and substance, is there anything better than a nice, filthy feud?
Of course not! And hooray, because this year brought us some serious celebrity drama.
First off: Kim Kardashian vs. Justin Bieber's fans. Who could forget the outrage of a Beeb-lovin' public when the teen heartthrob appeared in a saucy pictorial with Kim—outrage that eventually caught on with none other than Bill O'Reilly? (C'mon, Bill—why don't you admit that this family-values stuff is all a red herring to disguise your deep, abiding love of Bieber.)

There are worse things than living and working in the stunning Swiss Alps and not knowing how to ski. But apparently if you're a chalet girl—basically a foreign housekeeper in a ritzy ski resort (like an au pair, but for cleaning)—it's pretty much the worst sin in the world. Or so we've learned from the new trailer for "Chalet Girl," a movie about a, uh, chalet girl that's set to come out February 11.
Luckily our British heroine has a natural talent for snowboarding, and thus makes waves in the posh world she's transplanted into. It's essentially your typical "poor girl in rich world" fish-out-of-water story, but with winter sports.
Here are five reasons why we're intrigued by the trailer:

Whether I'm visiting with family or chilling on a tropical beach somewhere, the holidays are when I make sure to set aside time to escape into a good handful of books. And because I can't handle anything too heavy this time of year, it's a great opportunity for me to tackle the stack of young-adult paranormal romances and dystopian adventures on my desk. Here's what I've got packed for winter break:
"Torment": I included Lauren Kate's "Fallen," the first in a four-part series, on last year's winter reading list, so this is for symmetry—and also because I can't believe I've waited so long to find out what will happen to Luce now that she's learned that her boyfriend, Daniel, whom she met at a boarding school for troubled kids is actually a fallen angel whose been her boyfriend for quite a few lifetimes, each ending in her untimely death. Now, as he goes off to battle those who want her dead for good, she's sent to yet another boarding school, this one meant for Nephilim. Should be interesting!

It's so hard to say goodbye, Tweeters. No one knows that better today than Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams who had to bid adieu to two of her band's members, guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro. Hayley and the remaining members of Paramore made the official announcement about the Farros' departure on their site, and the raven-haired songstress took to her Twitter to address concerned fans, as well. Late last night she assured, "Paramore is (still) a band" and today told followers, "Thanks for all the encouragement guys. @paramore fans rule so hard. Keeping my head up today for you guys. Love you all." Still, the news seemed to hit Hayley hard as she posted, "Today is not going to go down as one of my favorite days. Just being real."
Thankfully, not everyone was singing a sad tune today. Musician Sara Bareilles got her pipes ready to cheer on the "The Sing-Off" season finale. The a cappella competition comes to an end tonight live on NBC at 8 p.m., but the singer shared that she is going to have the best seats in the house to watch the competing groups (and, c'mon, host Nick Lachey!) Sara tweeted, "I'm at the SING OFF!! A Cappella Nerds, UNITE!! YAYAYAYYAYAYAY!!!! http://twitpic.com/3huehq"

Let's cut right to the chase: There was no bigger fashion headline in 2010 than Lady Gaga's meat dress—that rare cut of sartorial whimsy she flaunted at the 2010 Video Music Awards. So it's little surprise that when we revealed the names on MTV News' Most Fashionable of 2010 list, Ms. Gaga scored a spot right at the top. But she wasn't the only one who received style accolades. We also gave kudos to Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Katy Perry.
Do you agree that Lady Gaga deserves top honors for this year! Or do you think one of our other nominees outshone her? Weigh in by voting in our poll after the jump! And, as always, if your favorite wasn't included in our list, tell us in the comments section!

Last year we listed off the movies, TV shows and other pop-cult gems we were most excited for in 2010, and though the Wizarding World of Harry Potter got the top spot (come on, it's a theme park), "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was the movie we were most looking forward to. It's been a big year for "The Twilight Saga," and "Eclipse" definitely did not disappoint. As another year of "Twilight"'s domination is about to begin, we figured now would be a good time to look back at the series' biggest moments in 2010.
"New Moon" had hit theaters only several months before, but "The Twilight Saga" started 2010 off with a bang when there was reportedly some drama between Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment over "Breaking Dawn," though the "Twilight" author quickly dispelled that rumor. That was followed closely with producer Wyck Godfrey's announcement that "Breaking Dawn" was gearing up to film the coming fall. We were all holding on to every will-they-won't-they rumor (3D? CGI Renesmee? One or two films?), and it took the majority of the year for any of those questions to be answered.

Pop quiz! Imagine that you've been dating a guy for four years, only to have your relationship end with a high-profile holiday breakup just days before your 22nd birthday. How would you celebrate?
A) On the couch, watching reruns of "Law & Order: SVU," and sobbing into your cat
B) Walking through the house with a fork and knife, eating everything that isn't nailed down
C) Putting on a slinky silver dress and partying like a VIP rockstar in Vegas!
...Kind of a no-brainer, isn't it? So props to Vanessa Hudgens for not letting her recent split with Zac Efron get in the way of a very happy birthday.
