This could be potentially bad news for all of us "City of Bones" fans hoping Alex Pettyfer will be cast as Shadowhunter Jace Wayland. According to Deadline, we aren't the only ones hot for the "I Am Number Four" star. Dreamworks, which is the studio behind "I Am Number Four," was so impressed with Alex as a leading man that they've already tapped him to play the title character in their adaptation of "Shunt: The Story of James Hunt." It's all the more impressive since none of his movies have actually come out yet.

The film is based on the book of the same name by Tom Rubython about British race car driver James Hunt, who won the Formula One World Championships back in 1976 and got England hooked on the sport because he was so darn adorable. With that description, Alex is perfect for the part, though we prefer him served fresh in fantasy/sci-fi YA novel adaptations.

It's time to strap on those 3-D glasses once again as "Tron: Legacy" hits theaters today. Some celebs have already been wowed by the sci-fi action flick, including Emily Osment who posted, "JUST SAW TRON GUYS. LOTSAH CRAZY STUF HAPPUNED IN THAT MOVIE." Actor/director Jon Favreau sent a special message to his friend, "Tron" star Olivia Wilde (pictured), as he posted, "Happy #Tron Day, @oliviawilde!" to which she wrote back, "thank you!! Hope you can escape the editing room to go see it."

The release of "Tron" wasn't the only thing to get movie fans pumped around the Twitterverse today. Jon Chu, the director of many a dance flick, including "Step Up 3D," had a big announcement from his page today about the fate of "Step Up 4." He alerted dance fanatics, "Step Up 4 is officially on!! oh yes... And we found an AMAZING new director to take the reigns and move it to another level! Our Step Up 4 director extraordinaire will be none other than Emmy award winning choreographer and dance visionary WADE ROBSON!! #epic." He's not kidding. Movie premieres were a hot ticket this week as the stars from "The Tourist" and "Country Strong" made the rounds to debut their respective flicks. While there were plenty of looks to love (and hate) during the various events, our eyes landed on "The Tourist"'s Angelina Jolie (obvs) and "Country Strong"'s Leighton Meester. Both presented drastically different red carpet looks, and only one of them made the cut in our book. Keep reading to find out which movie star got two thumbs up for her style, and which one failed to deliver.

There's really no need to point out the obvious: Angelina is gorgeous. But her beauty was heightened that much more when she flaunted this Atelier Versace piece. We seriously couldn't take our eyes off the elegant and somewhat regal gown which she wore to the Madrid premiere of "The Tourist" on Thursday. While we were a little iffy about the heavy bottom, we adored the embellished gold top and liked that she didn't over accessorize.

If you're a teenage actress with brunette locks and plenty of pluck, it's likely your name has been thrown into the metaphorical arena for the role of Katniss Everdeen, the heroine of Suzanne Collins' YA novel "The Hunger Games," which is being adapted for the big screen. From Kaya Scodelario to Hollywood Crush BFF Malese Jow, there is no shortage of candidates for the much-talked about part. One of the newest actresses gaining buzz is 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, who stars alongside Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges in the upcoming Western "True Grit." When MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down to chat with the young actress, he just had to find out what she thought about a role in "The Hunger Games."

As it turns out, Hailee is already a fan of the post-apocalyptic series. "I read the first one—I was in the middle of the second one, and I kind of felt like—I kind of have to read it every time I have a spare moment—and I kind of felt like I was missing something. So I'm rereading the first one just so I can make sure that I get everything. But they're kind of an incredible book series," she said.

It's no secret "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester has been nurturing a bit of a music career on the side when not ruthlessly ruling Manhattan's Upper East Side as rich girl Blair Waldorf. If you missed her pop singles "Somebody To Love" or "Your Love's A Drug" (or for that matter, her peppy cameo on Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad"), don't fret. In her upcoming film "Country Strong" (out in limited release December 22 and going wide January 7), Leighton lets out her inner Carrie Underwood as country music darling Chiles Stanton. Hollywood Crush was lucky enough to score the exclusive premiere of her "Summer Girl" music video, costarring Gwyneth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund and Tim McGraw, and it's pretty adorable. Watch below!

We can't help but notice how cute Leighton looks in her white, ruffled mini dress and her red boots, busting out the playful country jam. The video also gives us one of our first substantial looks at the romance between Chiles and Garrett's Beau. There she is playing with his hair! There he is admiring her on stage! There they are rough-housing in the backseat during a roadtrip! Previous trailers emphasized the (maybe?) budding relationship between Beau and Gwyneth's troubled Kelly Canter (do we smell a love triangle? love quadrangle?), so it's nice to see Leighton shine here.

Before we exchange gifts, drop the ball and get dizzy on year-end champagne, MTV News celebrates the best of this year by giving a big, sloppy smooch to our very favorite people of 2010. So today, we're announcing our Woman and Man of the Year! And gird your loins, because the results are gonna shock you.

...Okay, no they're not. Because this year's Woman and Man of the Year blew the competition out of the water, and everybody knows it—which is why this year's honors go to...

Woman of the Year: Lady Gaga
You couldn't get away from Gaga in 2010—not that you'd want to! The performance artist, activist, and fashion icon blew our minds with her incredible videos for "Telephone" and "Alejandro," earned a record-breaking 13 nominations at the VMAs, topped one billion views on her YouTube channel, won a Billboard award for Artist of the Year and rocked the red carpet in a dress made out of meat. She also campaigned against bullying, spoke out for gay rights and joined with Cyndi Lauper to raise AIDS awareness. And she's so unstoppable, we wouldn't be surprised if she was a major contender to score this honor again in 2011. Check out our full-length Lady Gaga tribute at MTV News!

Yesterday, we marveled at Robert Pattinson's 10 most smoldering looks from the "Water for Elephants" trailer, but in truth, Robert has been smoldering for years. From "Twilight" to "Remember Me," the actor has perfected the art of the longing gaze and the contemplative stare. Which got my creative colleagues at MTV thinking: What would an entire trailer comprised purely of RPattz's most smoldery moments look like? Feast your eyes on the delicious results:

Now, picking my favorite snippet was a tough one. I mean, there's just so much goodness to choose from. But after reviewing the tape several times, I'm going to go with the quick cut at the 14-second mark when Robert's "Remember Me" character Tyler casts his gaze upon Emilie de Ravin's Ally. There's something at once creepy yet kind of hot about the clandestine moment. Maybe it just makes me wish I was back in college and had Robert Pattinson staring at me during a boring lecture—something that definitely would have made it easier to stay awake during my 8 a.m. calculus class.

Which smoldering moment is your favorite from our trailer mash-up? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

Talk about the December blues! Way too many of Hollywood's hottest couples seem to be celebrating the holidays by breaking up, divorcing, and otherwise calling it quits on their high-profile romances. Good thing there's one couple still walking in a winter wonderland: Tony Romo and news-anchor girlfriend Candice Crawford (sister to "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford) have announced their engagement.

Tony, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback who's best-known 'round these parts as Jessica Simpson's ex, popped the question on Candice's 24th birthday as the pair celebrated with her family. Of course, we all know how Tony loves to peg major relationship milestones to birthdays; he famously gave poor Jessica the boot as a "gift" for her 29th. (Aww, Tony! You shouldn't have!... No, really, you shouldn't have. That was not cool.)

It's because we said we are almost more excited for "Water for Elephants" than we are for "Breaking Dawn," isn't it? Or maybe these awesome new set photos are an early Christmas present from Summit Entertainment? To be perfectly honest, it doesn't matter what the reason, we're just thrilled to get our first glimpse of the Volturi on the set of "Breaking Dawn"!

Dakota Fanning is getting some final touch ups on her make-up in this first photo, while Christopher Heyerdahl shows off his luscious locks and Jamie Campbell Bower looks on approvingly from the sidelines. In the second photo (after the jump), Michael Sheen looks a bit nervous as he reprises his role as Volturi head honcho. Maybe it's because he knew we missed him so much in "Eclipse"? Regardless, it's good to see the fam back together!
