Happy New Year to the best readers in the world! (Psst, that means you!) While we were busy watching the ball drop (and watching Snooki drop in a ball), all our favorite celebs were off gallivanting around the world to celebrate the start of 2011. Some of them partied it up in Las Vegas while others headed outside of the country to ring in the new year in style.
Most adorably, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart headed to the same Isle of Wight bar they celebrated at last year, and continued to be good sports and pose with fans. We didn't call them our best couple of 2010 for nothing!
Half of Hollywood headed to Las Vegas to ring in the new year at the grand opening of Marquee Nightclub. No, seriously, everyone was there. Find out who hugged it out and who might be Hollywood's hot new young couple after the jump!
Rashida Jones and Garrett Hedlund showed up together at the Marquee Nightclub New Year's Eve Celebration Friday night, and a witness told Just Jared that they "seemed like a new couple, and she looked very happy to be with him." We're elated that our Hump Day Hottie chose such a funny (albeit older) actress to kiss at midnight!
Meanwhile, Kellan Lutz sported a new hairdo when he showed up at the night club's official opening, which featured a performance by Florence + the Machine and Coldplay. Kanye West, Jay-Z and Rihanna hugged it out at the party as well, and then the trio gave an impromptu performance at around 2:30 a.m. One of the cutest couples in Hollywood—a.k.a. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan—also showed up to the party, and we're in love with Jenna's red strapless dress! Mark Salling and John Mayer rounded out the long list of celebs attending.
But they weren't the only stars headed for warmer climes to celebrate New Year's. Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison partied it up in Miami at the Fontainebleau hotel Friday night and nursed their hangovers took in some rays at the pool the next day. Also getting a tan while the rest of us were bundled up in our winter clothes, were Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, who took a scenic boat ride in St. Barts on Friday. Newly engaged LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian partied hard at the Pink Kitty Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Friday. And making us feel bad about already giving up on our resolutions were also newly engaged Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, who went for a run early Saturday morning in Los Angeles.
Lindsay Lohan also started the day off on the right foot as she prepared to be released from rehab. "Today is the first day of the rest of my life," the actress tweeted Saturday. "One step at a time." Good luck, Lindsay!
