When it comes to fashion, "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev has long been a staple of our best dressed lists, so we were all kinds of excited to see her glammed up for the February issue of Canada's Flare magazine.
Nina graces the cover in an eye-catching gold-sequin L'Wren Scott number (not unlike Kristen Stewart's dress at the People's Choice Awards!), and inside, she dished about her dual roles of Elena and Katherine, her dating life and her dream co-star.
"The two characters appeal to different parts of me and feed different parts of my soul," Nina said of her two "Vampire Diaries" alter egos, confessing that she relates more closely to Elena (considering E's not a killer at heart, we get that). Of course, Katherine's got her high points as well.
"I really admire the fact that Katherine looks out for herself. I think you need to have a selfish period in life, where you discover yourself," she said. "My work is so demanding and the hours are so long and the [material] so heavy. In the off-time I have I'm sort of selfish. I stay home and I sleep a lot. I'm actually slowly becoming a vampire."

Nina's vampire-like tendencies are apparently also getting in the way of her love life. She admitted that she's basically a hermit who doesn't have time to date. Of course, who can blame her? The girl's got a ton on her plate. In addition to playing two characters on "TVD," Nina's balancing a few side projects, including the upcoming movie "The Killing Game" with Kellan Lutz, and she's not stopping there.
"I will have to try everything," she said. "I'd love to do a period piece. I'd love to do an action movie. I'd love to do a drama and a romantic comedy. I want to dip my feet into everything."
Prime on her list? Working with friend Amanda Seyfried, who she said is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood right now.
Our suggestion? Amanda should totally drop by the "TVD" set and kick some butt alongside Elena and/or Katherine. Here's hoping Nina makes it happen!
What kind of movie would you like to see Nina appear in? What do you think about her spread in Flare magazine?
