We're ready to Catch VD. In fact, we couldn't be more excited for "The Vampire Diaries"' big return tonight on The CW. Mystic Falls newbie, Michaela McManus, who plays lady werewolf Jules on the show, told Hollywood Crush that fans have a lot to look forward to.
"It's a good one. Let's see... Well, we just get more in-depth, especially for my character. You really start to see where she's coming from a little more," she dished about the show’s mid-season return. "It gets more exciting."
She further teased, "Right now you see a lot of my character with Tyler and Damon since Rose's fate is really up in the air. We'll see what happens. Really, Jules has come to town to take the place of Mason and take over for him and she definitely feels like a mentor to Tyler, especially in discovering this is new to him and maybe she sees a little bit of herself in that. She sees Mason in Tyler, so she feels this strong bond to him right away."
As for butting heads with hottie vamp Damon (Ian Somerhalder), she admitted that right now she doesn't see any romance in the future for the two. "They’re fighting for their own individual cause, and they’re obviously clashing, so it just gets bigger," she said. "It grows and grows and it’s going to be interesting to see where it explodes. I mean, right now the feud is really between Damon and Jules, but more people start to get involved. It's 'The Vampire Diaries,' so it's really up in the air, but I wouldn't be surprised if it went there [romantically]. So it'll be interesting to see how their relationship grows."
Fans have seen both Tyler and Mason morph into werewolves, and though Michaela isn’t sure that we’ll see Jules morph, she did say, "you see a little bit of the aftermath for Jules. It’s waking up and discovering what you'd done the night before every month. All hell can break loose this one night and then the next morning it's picking up the pieces. So that's where we're going to see Jules."
