Before John Stamos, before Gwyneth Paltrow and before Anne Hathaway, Lea Michele's dream "Glee" guest star was pop star/actor/entrepreneur Justin Timberlake (she told us as much way back at the rainy 2010 Golden Globe Awards). Heck, she even dreamed up a Justin-Matthew Morrison dance-off storyline! Fast-forward to today, and how's that cameo from the baddest "Mickey Mouse Club" alumnus coming along? Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr. had a few tidbits to share while walking the SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday.
"I'm arguing Kristen Wiig and Justin Timberlake," Heather told us when asked which "Glee" guest stars she's rooting for, adding, "I think his music might be coming to our show. Maybe."
His music, huh? You don't say? And which song would that be exactly? A FutureSex/LoveSounds track, perhaps?
"It's a mash-up," was all Heather would reveal.
Meanwhile, co-star Harry is just hoping for J.T. to get back in the music game. "It's been a while since we've seen Justin Timberlake with his music videos," he said, turning to the camera to make a plea. "Please come back, Justin. We want to see new stuff."
Even if Justin doesn't step into the studio anytime soon, the "Glee" gang are certainly taking a page out of his playbook (songbook?), filling the J.T.-sized hole in our hearts. "In the meantime, hopefully 'Glee' can hold that spot for Justin moves and Justin songs," Harry added.
Listen, we're no career counselors, but wouldn't "Glee" make a great debut vehicle for a new Justin Timberlake track? Think about it, J.T. You know where to find us if you need anymore sage advice.
Are you hoping Justin makes a cameo on "Glee," or are you perfectly satisfied with a Justin mash-up? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
