Is all this "Mortal Instruments" and "Hunger Games" casting talk/rumor mongering driving anyone else crazy besides me? Don't get me wrong, I am a MAJOR fan of both book series and have extra high hopes for the film adaptations however (!), can we get some people officially signed onto these films please?!?
In the meantime, I am left to continually harass all the rumored parties for news that they won't give me. Sigh. Case in point, when MTV News caught up with potential Jace Wayland/maybe Peeta Mellark/"The Last Apprentice" (now retitled "The Seventh Son") lead Alex Pettyfer at the premiere of his alien action flick "I Am Number Four" earlier this week and asked for an update on which film he's leaning toward making.
"Um, I'm not leaning anywhere at the moment," he said (to which I responded with a groan). "I'm just... I love the books and I want to see what happens with them."
So how is he going about making the decision then?
"You don't. You kind of just have to figure out what you want to do," he said, before adding some more ambiguity into the mix, much to our frustration. "And as long as you're happy with it and you support it, you don't want to do anything that you're not supportive of, and you're not proud of."
Alex, what does that mean? When will you make the decision?
"I don't know," he said. "One day soon."
Aaaaaaaahhhhhh! He is killing me! Although I have to add that I agree with all the Crushers who voted in this poll that they want Alex in for "Mortal Instruments" over "Hunger Games." Alex has too much of an edge to be super-loyal sweetheart Peeta.
What do you think he's going to decide? And when? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
