Last night's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards were all about glitz and glamor, baby! Celebs from Kim Kardashian to Snooki to Miley Cyrus glittered their way down the carpet before taking in some seriously surprising performances by Cee Lo Green (Muppets? Feathers?), Lady Gaga (so about that egg…) and Rihanna, who dragged herself out of her sick bed to perform with Drake and Eminem. Many of the evening’s biggest surprises, however, happened before the show even began. Keep reading to find out which celebs were the evening’s best dressed.
Got shades? You’ll need them to take in these two winning looks! Reality TV queens Snooki and Jennifer Lopez (we can call her that now since she’s an "Idol" judge, right?) lit up the red carpet like two shiny disco balls in glittery silver mini dresses, accessorized with glittery silver clutches and glittery silver shoes. While normally this much matching sparkle would be garish, it’s utter perfection for an over-the-top show like the Grammys. J.Lo’s Pucci dress is definitely classier than Snooki’s, plus her Louboutin heels are much more elegant and flattering than Snookers’ ankle-straps, but our fave guidette’s perfectly coiffed ‘do puts Jenny’s messy mane to shame. Let’s call this a tie for best dressed.
From the Golden Globes to the SAGs to last night’s Grammys, our leading "Glee" ladies have been dressing progressively darker and sexier—and we love it! Lea Michele and Dianna Agron both prove that black is anything but basic with their noir ensembles. Clad in Vivienne Westwood, Dianna continued the exploration of her edgier side with spiky black earrings, a glam-rock updo and the fiercest cat eyes we’ve ever seen. Meow! Lea’s lace-and ruffle-embellished Romona Keveza gown hints at her usual romanticism, but her thigh-high slit, berry lips and pointy black platform heels ooze sex appeal.
Disney’s golden girls also win us over in their floor-length gold gowns. Miley Cyrus reminds us that she can’t be tamed in an animal-print Roberto Cavalli dress that’s youthful, sultry and perfectly suited to her post-Hannah personality. Like Snooki, she completes the look with a half-up pouf, thick lashes and pink lips. Compared to Miley’s, Selena Gomez’s dress is a bit "blah," but compared to Sel’s usual girly style, this sexy, glamorous J. Mendel dress is a fabulous change. It looks great on her and fulfills its purpose of reminding us that the actress otherwise known as Alex Russo is all grown up.
Of course, our round up wouldn’t be complete without giving style accolades to the two boys who blew us away both onstage and on the carpet. Justin Bieber showed us what a classy young lad he is in an all-white D&G tux. "Grenade" singer Bruno Mars kept the retro vibe of his performance consistent with his outfit, donning doo-wop-inspired hair and shades. Both guys looked utterly handsome.
