We're at our mid-way point of our Fashion Week coverage, and next up is the Cynthia Steffe show. Now some of you may not realize, but Cynthia Steffe doesn't actually design the collection anymore. In 2008 British designer Shaun Kearney took over the creative helm, and it seems like he hasn't missed a beat. When asked how he gets inspired to design his collection, he told us he turns to music, and for his Fall 2011 collection, he listened to Lykke Li, the Cure and Adele for motivation. His fun, vibrant personality was clearly evident throughout the collection, which was dominated by animal print undertones, rich textures and men's tailoring.
The Cynthia Steffe fall line is designed for the modern day woman, but could easily be worn by girls of any age. I will say, I'm usually not a big fan of animal print, but his subtle use of the prints, and the colors he chose, definitely put Cynthia Steffe's collection on my must-have list for this fall. I'm officially a fan! Tomorrow's show is the always exciting and unexpected Betsey Johnson—a presentation you do not want to miss!
What do you think about the Cynthia Steffe collection?
