If you thought you knew what to expect from tonight's "Vampire Diaries" after watching the preview, then think again.
"The teaser doesn’t give any information," Candice Accola told Hollywood Crush yesterday when we jumped on the phone with the actress. "So whatever you see on the teaser, that is just like the smallest amount of information that they could give you."
Of course, this prompted us to wonder what we could expect. After all, we've heard rumors about deaths, twists, a little Matt-Caroline romance and a performance (unexpected right?!), and while Candice didn't want to divulge too many spoilers about the episode (the last one before the show goes on hiatus until April 7), we were determined to get the dish.

It's no secret we here at Hollywood Crush have a wee, well, crush on Robert Pattinson. Really, who could blame us? But if there's one publication that could give us a run for our Robert-loving money it's certainly Vanity Fair. The dreamy "Twilight" star has graced the pages of the magazine numerous times in the past three years—and he's about to do it again.
Multiple sources are reporting that the 24-year-old will be featured on the cover of VF's April issue, which hits newsstands March 3. The shoot was done by legendary photog Annie Leibovitz, and according to Gossip Cop, even features a FOUR-FOOT LONG ALLIGATOR. (There's definitely a vampire-alligator-bite joke in here somewhere.) Though we'll have to wait another week for the issue, Hollywood Life has some behind-the-scenes images to whet your appetite (as if that's really necessary...)

Back in the 1990s, we spent approximately 95 percent of our leisure time either watching "The Bodyguard," listening to the soundtrack from "The Bodyguard" or prancing around in front of our bedroom mirror and shamelessly belting an off-key version of "I Will Always Love You" into a hairbrush microphone while simultaneously having naughty, naughty fantasies about making out with Kevin Costner on an airport tarmac.
Which is to say, we are not totally sure about the news, reported yesterday by Deadline, that Warner Bros is planning to remake "The Bodyguard" for contemporary audiences. But they are! According to the studio, the movie will contain some digital-era updates (threats of bodily harm via Twitter, anyone?) and hopes to provide a current young singer with the same shot to fame that the 1992 film gave Whitney Houston. And since casting hasn't begun yet, we're throwing our top picks into the mix! Which lady vocalist should be bodyguard-ed in the reboot? Our suggestions are as follows:

Katy Perry had some pretty choice words for those who twisted hers on Twitter today. Mrs. Brand got caught up in a diva battle with Britney Spears after some bloggers suggested Katy took a swipe at Brit and her new "Hold It Against Me" video, which features the pop superstar showing some of her own products. In a Twitter chat with fellow artist Marina & The Diamonds regarding product placement in music videos, Katy wrote, "do it w/style & grace...Not so in ur face like some. U hv to get creative w/it. Some artists don't care tho, & u can tell." When some folks assumed Katy meant Britney, the "Firework" singer shot back from her page, "Dear tabloid media aka FILTH: pls note I expressed an overall feeling bout product placement, their roles in vids & the art of them being...complimenting or sticking out. Most, if not ALL popsters welcome deals w/products 2 offset costs of big budget vids in these recessional...music industry times. I'VE used them in MY vids before & am happy 2b able 2 make a better vid because of. Once AGAIN, stop pitting artists..against artist for ur sensational satisfaction & stick to what ur best @: lying, gossiping, exaggerating & overall lending a hand 2 the......deterioration of a generation."
On the less hostile end of the celebrity Twitterverse, artists like Natasha Bedingfield (pictured) are gearing up for a Motown musical celebration in honor of Black History Month that will take place at the White House tomorrow. The "Pocketful of Sunshine" singer told followers about her excitement over Thursday's event and performing for two people in particular who will be in the audience: President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama! Natasha wrote from her page, "Hey I'm inside the White House!!!!! I'm singing for the President and the First Lady tomorrow right inside their home!" Another one of the night's guests, John Legend, tweeted a pic of Natasha practicing an oldie for the concert, "At rehearsal for the Motown tribute. Natasha Bedingfield singing "tracks of my tears" http://twitpic.com/42zkvc." Luckily, the concert will be recorded on February 24 and broadcast on PBS on March 1 for all of Natasha's fans to see!

While this year's Academy Awards don't officially start until 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night, all eyes will be on our favorite celebs hours beforehand as they make their big arrivals. The red carpet can be the perfect time to debut a new 'do, a new beau, proudly flaunt a baby bump or stop photographers in their tracks with a dramatic gown. But while dreamy pairings like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bündchen in years past have embodied the epitome of Oscar glamor, there's something to be said (or swooned over) about stars who bring unconventional dates like dear old mom or dad.
Hometown heroes Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were Oscar newbies in 1998, representing their gripping drama "Good Will Hunting." They shared their Best Original Screenplay award not only with the city of Boston, but their proud mamas Christine and Nancy.

Oscar likes young actresses...and we promise that's not as creepy as it sounds. You see, Academy Awards history is chock-full of precocious nominees with pinch-worthy cheeks, from Tatum O'Neal, who scored the Best Supporting Actress statue at the age of 10 for her performance in 1973's "Paper Moon" to recent nominee Abigail Breslin, who was also a decade old when she received a nod for her hilarious performance in "Little Miss Sunshine."
Continuing the youngster tradition is 14-year-old "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld, who's up for the Best Supporting Actress award alongside heavy-hitters Amy Adams and Melissa Leo (both of "The Fighter"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The King's Speech") and Jacki Weaver ("Animal Kingdom"). Can the teen prevail? We asked the experts to weigh in.
"The Supporting Actress category might well be the closest of the acting categories," explained MTV News' own Eric Ditzian. While he and fellow MTV movies guru Josh Horowitz gave the advantage to "The Fighter"'s Melissa Leo—despite a bit of controversy surrounding a series of print ads she purchased to promote her nomination—Deadline Hollywood's Pete Hammond said the two "Fighter" actresses may cancel each other out—leaving room for the up-and-comer.

Jon M. Chu decided to "Never Say Never" when he agreed to direct Justin Bieber and help tell his life story in the musical documentary. He relentlessly followed the pop star around the country to make sure there wasn't a moment of Justin's life that wasn't captured on celluloid for the box-office smash. With a re-release hitting theaters this week, he's our Hump Day Hottie.
Check out this video of Jon, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: Jon is a native of Palo Alto, California—the same place James Franco is from… we wonder if they went to high school together? Anyway, the 31-year-old went to the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television where he learned all about the craft of film making.

Kelly Osbourne is officially a Material Girl! Last month it was announced that the 26-year-old reality star/actress was replacing "Gossip Girl"'s Taylor Momsen as the face of Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon's rocker chic line. And now you can see the raucous results!
A platinum-tressed Kelly vamps, vogues and poses for a series of graffiti-laced ads meant to hearken back to Madge's roots in New York City's East Village. The '80s are alive and well in these images, from Kelly's bangled wrists to that ginormous boom box. (Yes, kids, that's how us oldsters used to listen to music.)

I think we all knew when Dan rambled off in his pick-up truck with heartbreak in hand at the end of 2010, he'd come back and stir the pot of Lancer drama. Well, that ship sailed last night when he rolled into town to serve as the best man at his brother's wedding.
Wanda, the hired wedding planner, can't help but get herself all up in Marti's business by volunteering Marti to sing Rolling Stones covers at the reception in an attempt to get Marti and Dan together. Real slick. Marti can't say no and has a heart-to-heart with Savannah about Dan coming home. Cue Savannah's crazy eyes when Marti says she doesn't know how she feels about Dan. Since Savannah lives her life with a competitive state of mind, she tells Marti the only way to resolve the Dan drama is for both of them to go to the wedding and throw themselves at Dan to see who he likes best. Ummm…yeah. Thank goodness Savannah is able to get a hair appointment at the last minute!
Back in the annoying storyline of Vanessa, Derrick and Red, Derrick, who apparently is a member of the Army Reserve, gets news that he is being deployed overseas and asks Vanessa to tie the knot before he leaves. She agrees, but isn't stoked. Who would be when her feelings are still stuck on a former flame? She talks to Red hoping he'll tell her not to marry Derrick, but he gives her some wishy-washy "follow your heart" answer, leaving Vanessa pouting like a kindergartner who didn't get her favorite color crayon. The next day she freaks out, won't sign the marriage license and admits she has a thing for Red. Derrick takes it surprisingly well, making her feel even worse and leaves her crying alone in the bedroom. Peace out, Derrick, it was fun while it lasted.
The lovely and talented Dakota Fanning turns 17 today, and here at Hollywood Crush, that means just one thing: reading her Wikipedia page, stuffing our faces with Twinkies and feeling really, reeeeeeally insecure about what we've accomplished in life.
Oh, and also, a celebratory look at what's next for the poised and prolific actress who's pretty positioned to become the next Meryl Streep. (Okay, yeah, let's do that first; the self-hatred and sobbing can happen later.)
Dakota has already proved her chops as a versatile powerhouse of an artist—in 2010 alone, she wowed us as an iconic rockstar in "The Runaways" and a member of "The Twilight Saga's reigning vampire royalty. But while most girls in her position would take a well-deserved birthday break to relax, recharge and bask in the warm glow of raging success, this one isn't slowing down; in fact, she's booked for three major roles in the coming year.
