"I wouldn't be surprised if Rob says the reason he took the movie was because of [her]," "Water for Elephants" director Francis Lawrence told Vanity Fair about Robert Pattinson. "He really fell in love."
Fortunately, for all you who might be concerned that some other Hollywood actress is stealing RPattz away from his rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart, the star he is talking about is Tai, the elephants he spent so much time with while filming. "She was the best actor I ever worked with in my life," Rob said in the magazine interview. "I cried when the elephant was wrapped. I never cried when anyone else was wrapped."
At least the media won't get as up in arms about his relationship with Tai as they do with Kristen. Though he didn't confirm his relationship with his "Twilight Saga" costar, Rob did say that all the media attention is "very traumatic."
"When this is over, the media will lose interest [in the relationship]. There'll be nothing to say. It won't fit into a headline anymore. It won't fit into a template," he said.
He continued to hedge around the issue, saying that Kristen's main focus in life is to be an actress while he's still unsure. But he wasn't hesitant about complimenting her skills, saying, "I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is."

The two leads of "The Twilight Saga" have received Beatles-levels of attention from fans during their time in the spotlight, so much so that he drove from Los Angeles to the set of "Breaking Dawn" in New Orleans using only service roads and his iPhone to navigate so he wouldn't have to deal with fans in airports. But the fans always find him, even when he's in a random bar in Texas where no one even knows his name.
Fortunately, according to him, fans will eventually get over him because he plans to be much less attractive in the future. "I'm, like, a compulsive eater. I'm going to be so fat when I’m older, it's ridiculous," he said.
It certainly seems like he'll be happy when the attention is finally no longer on him. "This thing with everyone knowing you…it's weird, because people have this one-sided relationship where they look at your picture and feel they know you more than someone they actually know," he said. "I guess people want it to define them, like 'I'm a "Twilight" fan.'… I think people really just like being part of a crowd. There's something just tremendously exciting about hyping yourself up to that level."
