The term "bromance" gets thrown around a lot these days, never really capturing the true essence or unrequited dude love. And while the guys from "I Love You, Man" and "Pineapple Express" have all made noble efforts to become the greatest bromance story ever, we think "Take Me Home Tonight" star Topher Grace and MTV News' own Josh Horowitz have one for the ages.
In the latest MTV After Hours clip called, fittingly, "The Topher Affair," we discover it was love at first sight for the former "That '70s Show" star and Josh after meeting on the press junket for the 2009 comedy "Valentine's Day." It takes only four minutes and a couple of compliments (Topher tells Josh, "You have, like, the bluest eyes") for these two to realize they have a special bond.
So much so, in fact, that Topher tells Josh, "If you walked out of my life, I'd miss you." With that, the two embark on a whirlwind New York City day together that includes theater, lunch and a trip to Dave and Busters.
Cut to five months later and Topher is chatting it up with MTV's Sway Calloway at a "Predators" junket, much to the dismay of Josh. Topher and Josh have a heartbreaking falling out ("I saw you talking to Jake Gyllenhaal for, like, an hour last week!" "Yeah, that's my job!") in front of a stunned and disturbed Sway.
If you can contain your laughter throughout the montage of a distraught Topher and Josh set to the sounds of Roxette's classic "It Must Have Been Love" then you'll happily find out the fellas reunite during a present day interview for "Take Me Home Tonight," in which the title of the movie soon becomes a request. It must have been love, after all.
