What's a girl to do when she discovers her guy's been cheating on her with her BFF? Why, send a naked pic of said BFF to the entire school, of course! (Quick PSA: NEVER do this kids!) Anyway, that's the scenario in which "90210"'s failed-pop-star-turned-wannabe-reality-star Adrianna Tate-Duncan finds herself in after bitter boyfriend Navid gets too cozy with an earring-dropping Silver (who now seems to have locked lips with nearly every gentleman on The CW series!).
Adrianna's overcome her fair share of setbacks in the past few seasons (drug abuse and teenage pregnancy immediately come to mind), but this latest act of revenge is certainly the sleaziest thing she's done yet. Will Adrianna ever get over herself? Jessica Lowndes says yes.
"She's definitely going to redeem herself. I think this is a phase she's going through," Jessica said of her onscreen alter-ego while walking the red carpet at Elton John's post-Oscars party. "She's still the same kind person down deep. She just got caught up in it, you know. She just got caught up in the fame. It does happen, I guess."
We can't really relate to the whole fame thing, so we'll take your word for it, Jessica. That being said, the actress added that other factors are at play here, too, which make Adrianna's stunt a little more understandable. "I think a couple episodes back you saw that her main reason for giving up a baby was to pursue this career, and she has always felt that if she wasn't a success she gave up her baby for nothing. So I feel like that's a little bit of redeeming herself. So she's been driven by this thing that she's held inside. I think that explains her behavior a little bit."
Okay, we'll buy it. But the big question is: Can Adrianna win Navid back from Silver? Though Jessica didn't spell it out, she did compare the lovebirds to another one of our favorite TV couples (and if the analogy rings true, the two could end up together in the end). "I mean, Navid and Adrianna, they're like the Rachel and Ross of our show. I like them together when I watch it. It's a heartbreaking thing."
Personally, I prefer Silver and Navid together; they seem so evenly matched. But whatever the case, Adrianna will have to do A LOT to win Navid back after the stunts she's pulled. Hopefully all will be revealed when the series returns from hiatus on April 18.
