The Post reports that the twosome, who began dating last summer, broke up weeks ago but have kept the split under wraps. The source added that their busy work schedules contributed to the break, and that "it was mutual and amicable."
"They broke up shortly before her birthday, then got back together," a source told Us. "He wanted to make sure everything was perfect [for her birthday in February]. He was really sweet and conscientious." But it seems that in the end, "Joe wasn't that into it."
A quick look at their respective Twitter accounts shows that while both Joe and Ashley are in New York City, they've been busy not being together. He's hard at work on his solo album, and she's been busy hanging out with friends at nightclubs like Avenue (those friends include former rumored hook-up Jared Followill of Kings of Leon), promoting "Skateland," hanging out with her dad and seeing the Broadway show "Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark."
