On Monday night's episode of "Pretty Little Liars," Caleb skipped town to head off into the sunset after he and Hanna couldn't work things out in a post-Jenna-scheming world. Despite trying to give her a note professing his undying love for her, things just didn't work out. And, "PLL" star Tyler Blackburn admitted that while Caleb's gone, he might not be completely forgotten.
"He definitely left all the way to Arizona," he explained to us while in Toronto promoting his flick, "Peach Plum Pear." "His heart's broken, but he has bounced. But what he and Hanna has is pretty special, so it might not be the end of them."
While fans were teased with snippets of that love note for Hanna, even Tyler doesn't know the extent of what was written on it, but did say that it was a heartfelt final plea to win her back. "I actually don't know the entire thing, but most importantly he loves her and that is the most vulnerable thing to tell someone," he said. "And it's true for him, and that’s really what he wanted her to know… I think they definitely brought each others' good side out. I think that both were lonely in many ways."
Before Caleb boarded the bus, it seemed like Hanna might stop him. But as we know things in the "PLL" universe don't end the way we expect them to, and she let him go. Tyler admitted "that it would have been great" if she did stop him, "but I also understand, with this show especially, it throws you curve balls. I think it was written perfectly. Also there was a lot going on with the key and she was torn with priorities."
Whether or not they do get back together, they will always have the memories of those steamy shower and tent hookups to keep them (and us!) warm. "I would definitely say that it was steamy, but at the same time that was something that Hanna from the beginning was looking for and trying to find that perfect guy to lose her virginity to," he said. "I think that it was definitely steamy, but it was perfect."
