Between her bustling career as a TV host, college student and author, Tyra Banks has found time to also launch the new, innovative beauty website, TypeF.com. On it, fashionistas can personalize style tips so that they too can look as glamorous as a top model.
"Type F is a site unlike any other. You go to Type F and you give your [physical] information and then we create content and send it back to you," Tyra told MTV News. "So the next time you come back, they’ll be all this stuff [for you and] what makes you different. There's different things you share so that the more you give the more you get.
"I'm a lover of fashion websites," she continued. "But the great thing about Type F, it's totally different. It's about customization."
Tyra will also appear on the site in web series and articles, hoping to share her personal experiences in the fashion world with those wanting to learn more.
So how did the name Type F come about? Tyra explained, "We were thinking of so many different names, and then it was a eureka moment when we realized women are put into all different boxes." From there the name Type F just felt right. "Type F, for me, it means Type Fierce," she added. "But it can mean anything to anybody."
