Who would have thought it'd be this difficult to find a wife for Robert Pattinson? In his first post-"Twilight" role, Rob will star in "Cosmopolis" as finance wunderkind Eric Packer, whose risky decision-making lands him in the cross-hairs of an assassin's rifle.
As if dodging a blood-hungry hired gun weren't enough, Eric must also contend with an estranged wife—a role initially filled by Marion Cotillard. When Marion dropped out of the film, Keira Knightley was rumored to have taken her place, but as Rob hinted during our 30-minute chit-chat with him recently, that was not to be either. So which lucky lady will wear (and possibly remove) Robert Pattinson's ring? Meet Sarah Gadon.
According to Deadline, the 23-year-old Toronto native most recently worked with "Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg in his "A Dangerous Method" and has a slew of TV credits to her name including the SOAP Net series "Being Erica" and ABC's "Happy Town." She also auditioned for the title role in "Snow White and the Huntsman," which eventually went to Rob's "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart.
If you ask us, the two make quite the comely couple. Nice to meet you, Sarah. Prepare to be the envy of girls worldwide.
"Cosmopolis" is set for a 2012 release.
