Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Vanessa Hudgens may have declared her "single" status on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last week, but we spotted Vanessa out last night with Josh Hutcherson looking very friendly. She and her "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" co-star were seen leaning in for some close conversation all throughout the game, and when they weren't getting cozy, they were jumping up and fist pumping—"Jersey Shore" style—cheering on their favorite team.

Josh showed his support in a black Lakers cap, and Vanessa declared her team spirit in a "Lakers are for Lovers" T-shirt. V: Who would these "Lovers" you're referring to be?

There hasn't been much news lately from post-production of the American movie version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" (set for release December 21), but, unsurprisingly, the drama surrounding the literary tale on which it is based continues.

Much has been made of several unfinished "Millennium" series manuscripts left in the wake of author Stieg Larsson's death in 2004. We've already heard rumors about a fifth novel, and now details are emerging regarding the fourth, thanks to an interview Stieg's friend Kurdo Baksi gave Swedish paper Expressen via The Hollywood Reporter. (Side note: According to Stieg's brother Joakim, the author skipped the fourth novel to work on the fifth, so we're still scratching our head as to where this tome might fit in the series' chronology.)

The fourth novel, tentatively titled "God's Revenge," focuses on one of the series' lesser-known characters: Lisbeth Salander's estranged sister Camilla, who makes a small appearance in "The Girl Who Played With Fire." The story takes place on the remote Banks Island in Canada and "further deepens the relationship between Salander and investigative journalist Mikael Blomqvist." I'd bet a krona or two that Camilla gets caught up in some sort of dastardly scheme from which the dynamic duo of Lisbeth and Mikael must rescue her. But that's just my speculation.

The bad news: You still have to wait another 24 hours to sink your teeth into the sordid drama of "Sweet Valley Confidential," the book that finds the notorious Wakefield twins 10 years older, totally estranged and living on opposite coasts after a mysterious falling-out. The good news: Thanks to this EXCLUSIVE clip from the audiobook edition, those who just can't wait to find out how the new book begins can get a head start on the story right this minute!

This excerpt features a cheerful hello from series author Francine Pascal, and the complete read-aloud text of chapter one—in which we meet Elizabeth, now living in New York City and nursing an absolutely epic grudge against her sister. Of course, the cliffhanger ending of this sneak peek only leads to more questions: What horrific betrayal gave rise to the estrangement? Why won't Liz answer Jessica's calls? What does Bruce Patman have to do with any of this?!

And The Reaping continues.

A slew of Hollywood's hot young actors met with Lionsgate on Friday to test for the role of District 12's male tribute, Peeta Mellark, in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' dystopian thriller "The Hunger Games," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The list is a mix of the usual suspects and a few surprises. Josh Hutcherson, Lucas Till and Hunter Parrish are all in contention, in addition to 19-year-old "Escape to Witch Mountain" actor Alexander Ludwig and 24-year-old Evan Peters, who's appeared in "Kick-Ass" and on television series including "One Tree Hill" and "The Office." Noticeably absent from the line-up is Alex Pettyfer, whose name was among the early contenders for the role. (Should "Mortal Instruments" fans take hope in his absence?)

There were no cameras, no publicity stunts and (at least as far as we know) no elephants involved, but it's a Hollywood wedding just the same! Reese Witherspoon has officially tied the knot with entertainment agent Jim Toth, to whom she's been engaged since December 2010. As reported by People, the pair made it legal on Saturday evening in a small, private ceremony at Reese's ranch in California. Yay!

The ceremony was short, traditional and attended by a handful of close friends and family members, including Reese's children from her first marriage to Ryan Philippe. But while there were no newsworthy cake-throwing shenanigans or giant animal cameos, the report from the wedding does include one eyebrow-raising tidbit: another sighting of Scarlett Johansson on the arm of Sean Penn. (Seriously, whaaaat is going on there?)

Well, anyway. Congrats to the happy couple!

Are you psyched to see Reese find love again? (Or devastated that she's off the market?) Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!

From Sarah Jessica Parker to Aretha Franklin (as Questlove tweeted to her, "#HappyBdayAreatha she is the Queen PERIOD") today was chock-full of celebrity birthdays. Among the many stars celebrating their March 25th births was Katherine McPhee, who received plenty of Twitter love, including from actress Ashley Madekwe, who posted, "@katharinemcphee Happy Birthday lovely! xo." Katherine, who turned 27 today, wrote, "Thk u to everyone makin me feel real special! Love birthdays! & Love u all!" There was also some b-day love for Aly Michalka, including a tweet from her sis AJ Michalka, who told her, "Happy 22nd Birthday to my unbelievable sister...I could not love you more Aly..."

In addition to all these, there's also a "Twilight"-related birthday today! Kiowa Gordon, or as he's better known to Twi-hards, Embry Call, turned 21 and got a whole lot of well-wishes on the social networking site. It seems Kiowa (pictured) and his co-star Tinsel Korey were taking the wolf pack to Las Vegas for some celebrations, when she shared, "Happy 21st Birthday Precious!!! @Circakigordon See you tomorrow!!! #KGTKVegas2011BdayWknd." Here's hoping they run into "The Hangover" wolf pack!

Yes, "The Hunger Games" movie has already been cast. But since we knew Emma Roberts was one of the 30(!) or so actresses up for the role, we had to ask her about it during our chat at the press day for "Scream 4." Her answer led us into some fun girl talk about her love for YA books and "Pretty Little Liars."

"I was definitely interested in it, but it was just one of those things that didn't end up happening," Emma said of being in contention to play Katniss. "But I'm really excited to see the movie. I read all the books a couple weeks ago and I've got all my friends hooked, so it's totally cool and I can't wait to see it."

Turning the conversation toward other anticipated YA properties headed for the big screen, we brought up "If I Stay," and the fact that we put her in our dream cast.

Moviegoers will be in for one heck of a crazy ride this weekend when they finally get to see Zack Snyder's mind-bending, visually arresting action-adventure flick, "Sucker Punch."

The film's female-dominated cast, which includes Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone, found themselves—and their characters—in some rather outrageous situations. After all, the movie does take place in an alternate universe where the laws of serious butt-kicking know no boundaries.

MTV News caught up with the gutsy gals of "Sucker Punch," and each one of them recalled to us which crazy scene in the movie was their favorite to film.

Vanessa, who plays the character Blondie, chose the scene in which she's on a B-25 bomber plane "being chased by a dragon and shooting at it." As she said with a giggle, "It's pretty intense."

For Vanessa's co-star Jena Malone (Rocket) it was a "really fun green screen moment where I was being lowered upside down on the harness, 40 feet in the air." In addition to hanging upside down, Jena was shooting at robots, all while doing flips. "It was fun," she explained.

As you already know, we couldn't stop crushing over some of the looks at this week's "Sucker Punch" premiere. From Vanessa Hudgens' backless Jenny Packham gown to Abbie Cornish's royal blue dresses and Jamie Chung's eye-catching Giambattista Valli ensemble, there were a lot of looks to adore, but only one truly stood out as Style Superstar-worthy.

"Sucker Punch" wasn't the only event we had our eyes on though—we also honed in on the Metropolitan Opera Gala premiere of Rossini's "Le Comte Ory." Clearly a very different kind of event, but nonetheless interesting, especially because of the array of stars in attendance, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Now, Mary-Kate and Ashley are both known for their eccentric taste, but this time around we really had a hard time wrapping our heads around one of their looks. Find out which sister's style confused us most, and which "Sucker Punch" lady took home the win below.

With spring just around the corner, there's nothing we love more than bright and bold gowns on the red carpet, and Jamie was pretty much the embodiment of B&B this week in her gorgeous, canary-colored gown, which she paired with nude shoes. Our only (and very slight) gripe would be the highlighter-bright wrap around the waist, which felt a little out of place. Other than that, it was perfect!

Earlier this week, "Pretty Little Liars" aired its season finale—the second most-watched episode of the season. I was one of the millions who tuned in to see if the girls would finally solve the mystery of Alison’s murder. Who wasn’t shocked when it was revealed that Ian’s body mysteriously disappeared and A was still out there? With eight novels in the young-adult series, I’m sure there’s enough material to go on for many seasons to come. But could the Rosewood girls be sleuthing for Alison’s killer on the big screen?

In a recent interview with Deadline, series writer-producer I. Marlene King was asked if the series could segue into a feature film. (Ummmm, yes please!)
