There seems to be an encore in the works for "The Last Song" co-stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who are rumored to be back together according to E! Online.
The can't-seem-to-make-up-their-minds couple met on the set of the 2009 Nicholas Sparks film and went through a few rounds of break up/make up before calling it quits again last fall. Now it looks as though the twosome is back on, however—Liam plans to accompany Miley on the Australian leg of her Gypsy Heart tour this June.
With a tenuous track record like theirs, it's hard to say if Miley and Liam will last this time, but we're certainly rooting for them (such a cute couple!). And it's not like Miley and Liam are alone—lots of our favorite couples have played a little yo-yo with our hearts, going back and forth before reconciling—or calling it quits—for good. Here are some of the couples that have had us on the edge of our seats.
Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez
Oh, Nelena, how we miss you. Thank goodness Selena found love with Justin Bieber to ease our—eh, we mean her—pain. Romance rumors started in 2008 (when she appeared in his "Burnin' Up" video) and the pair kept things pretty low-key until things got rocky in 2009. They tried to make things work, but eventually parted ways for good last April.
Justin Long and Drew Barrymore
The quirky comedy stars met in 2007 on the set of "He's Just Not That Into You" and dated for about a year before splitting, only to canoodle again in 2009. There were never any hard feelings though, and the exes teamed up again for last year's "Going the Distance," where they decided to try to do the same, confirming they were back together. Unfortunately, the two are on another hiatus and Drew is back in the dating scene. Justin, if you need to hug it out, we're here for you.
Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick
In another case of workplace wooing, the "Gossip Girl" co-stars started dating in 2008 (to the dismay of Chuck and Blair fans everywhere). After two years of bliss, they split, but got back together in late 2010. Ed has recently declared his single status, but we're still holding out hope for some happy gossip about these two.
Ashley Greene and Jared Followill
The "Twilight" star and Kings of Leon bassist were spotted together as recently as St. Patrick's Day. It looks like Ashley may be returning to some comfortable territory post-Jonas. She and Jared were also linked in late 2009.
Kellan Lutz and AnnaLynne McCord
Kellan and AnnaLynne never officially confirmed their relationship, but rumors of make-ups and break-ups swirled for over a year before reports of a final break-up last November. Maybe the "Twilight" vamp and "90210" star are just too much gorgeous for one couple.
