We'll forgive you if you confuse the Gibson Amphitheater for the Studio 8H stage come Sunday, June 5. After all, one of "Saturday Night Live"'s leading funnymen is hosting this year's MTV Movie Awards. Yep...live...from Hollywood...it's Jason Sudeikis!
The "Hall Pass" star has the distinct honor of hosting, this, the 20th annual telecast of the Golden Popcorn-awarding program, and we couldn't be more psyched. (I'll be the first to admit a tiny crush on the always-hilarious Jason). As it turns out, he's pretty enthused about it, as well.
"I'm sincerely flattered that the folks from the Mostly Teenage Viewers network have invited me to host this year and I look forward to keeping the streak of flawless and critically-lauded movie award show hosting in 2011 alive," he said. Aw, thanks, man! Can we put in our request now for a "Scared Straight" sketch co-starring Robert Pattinson? Pretty please?
ANYWAY... Voting for the MTV Movie Awards opens next week (May 3, specifically), and is open through June 4. Cast your vote for Best Kiss, Best Line From a Movie and more at MovieAwards.MTV.com.
See it all go down LIVE, Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT!
What do you think about Jason Sudeikis as the MTV Movie Awards host?
