We're one new YA adaptation away from establishing a savings account earmarked exclusively for movie ticket purchases. Because, really, how else are we going to afford to see "The Hunger Games," "The Mortal Instruments," "Divergent"...the list goes on. And the latest entry? Alexandra Bracken's "Black Is the Color."

According to Variety, Twentieth Century Fox has scooped up the movie rights for the novel, which won't even be published until summer 2012.

YA aficionados likely know Alexandra from her 2010 debut novel, "Brightly Woven," and though "Black" doesn't hit bookshelves for another year, it's definitely on our to-read list.

The story centers around telekinetic teen Ruby, who after being placed in a government-run rehab camp, teams up with a group of similarly gifted kids to escape, eluding those who want to take advantage of their powers.

Here's a bit more detail from Alexandra's website:

Sure, the entirety of this week's "Hunger Games" casting scoop has been straight out of the secondary character camp, but the movie's strapping leading men (Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth) are never far from our minds. (Especially after watching "The Last Song" this weekend. Swoony McSwoonerson, Mr. Hemsworth!) ANYWAY, this entire rambling preamble is to tell you that we have a few Peeta/Gale goodies for you today!

You may remember that when Jennifer Lawrence was cast as Katniss last month, we imagined what the actress would look like in five of the District 12 tribute's signature looks. Well, we're giving Josh and Liam the same treatment.

We once again turned to fabulous artist Kate Wheeler from Rat Girl Studios to illustrate what the two would look like as a baker's son and a badass hunter. Check out the results below!

Now, I'll admit I was among the fans who were a bit...dubious...when these two were cast, but seeing Josh as a blond (and in an apron!) and Liam with longer, shaggier dark hair is helping me see the possibilities.

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Gosh, those "Twilight" cast members, are just so close-knit. Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone hit Vancouver together Wednesday for a little lunch date—the friendly kind, of course. In matchy-matchy black and white ensembles and sunglasses, the pair nearly looked like twins!

Ashley and Jackson have had years of "Twilight" filming to solidify the bonds of friendship, so it's no wonder they're quick to hangout in their downtime, but Wednesday's outing has fueled a little gossip that the two may be more than buds. The speculation seems to be just that—after all, Ashley has also been linked to Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill since her split with Joe Jonas. Even as just friends though, Ashley and Jackson make a pretty cute twosome.

Robert Pattinson is quite the discreet Casanova when it comes to his real-life relationships (after years of rumors, we've only seen a handful of photos showing evidence of his romance with Kristen Stewart), but when it comes to what happens on-screen, the actor is happy to kiss and tell. So when we sat down with Reese Witherspoon, his costar from "Water for Elephants," we already had the inside scoop from Rob on some of their more intimate scenes from the movie—in particular, the not-so-sexy fact that he had a cold while filming them.

"He did have a very runny nose," Reese confirmed to MTV News' Josh Horowitz.

Ew. But, I mean, it's Robert Pattinson! One of the hottest leading men in Hollywood! Surely the experience of smooching such a gorgeous guy couldn't be ruined by something as ordinary as a runny nose...or could it?

At this point we've got to wonder if there's anything Chris Colfer can't do? Not only does the "Glee" star sing and dance (and make us laugh and cry each and every week), but at just 20 years old, he's well on his way to becoming something of an accomplished writer.

Chris, who snagged a Golden Globe for his nuanced work as Kurt on "Glee," has not only penned his very first movie (an indie called "Struck By Lightning" that begins shooting this summer with Chris in a starring role), but now he's working on a pilot for Disney Channel!

We all know Rihanna (pictured) is kind of fabulous. Remember "SOS" and how impossible it was to get out of your head? It probably seems like forever ago, considering all of the RiRi songs we've gone crazy for since, but it was only back in 2006. With "S&M" becoming her 10th No. 1 single, Rihanna is now officially the artist with the shortest time span between a first and 10th No. 1 hit. She tweeted a big thank you to her fans, saying, "#RihannaNavy is #MAJAH !!!!! That is all." Britney Spears also wished Rihanna well after the Barbados beauty thanked Brit and her fans for their support, tweeting, "Congrats @Rihanna. Song is fierce! Anytime girl... -Britney"

For those tweeters not busy topping charts and breaking records, today was all about relaxation. Some of our favorite lovely ladies decided to spend the day on some well-deserved primping. "Step Up" star (and lucky owner of Channing Tatum's heart) Jenna Dewan went for the full R&R treatment, tweeting, "One day to get it all done..nails, vegan glory, hair..you know, the important things in life." "Dancing With the Stars" favorite Julianne Hough was super-excited to find a nail salon that felt like home. "I just found THE CUTEST nail salon in Miami... It's so feminine and girly... I LOVE it!" she tweeted.

Check out the rest of Wednesday's best tweets, including which musician supports a "Glee"-for-all when it comes to music. Follow us @hollywoodcrush to get even more celebrity and pop culture news around the clock!

If you simply know English actor Freddie Highmore as the pint-sized musical prodigy from "August Rush" (or even Charlie in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"), prepare to meet the grown-up, leading-man-in-training Freddie in the upcoming "The Art of Getting By" (formerly called "Homework").

Freddie stars as lost soul/high school slacker George, a budding artist who's made it all the way to his senior year without ever completing a homework assignment (hence the film's title). When he's finally put on academic probation, he agrees to be mentored by Michael Angarano's character Dustin. Along the way, George strikes up an unlikely friendship with popular girl Sally, played by Emma Roberts.

If our EXCLUSIVE trailer is any indication, the dynamic among these three characters is not nearly as simple as the film's synopsis would lead us to believe. It's obvious George likes Sally. We're pretty sure Sally likes George. George doesn't make a move. So Dustin does. On Sally. Sally seems into it. George is nonplussed. In short, what we have here is a messy love triangle (our favorite kind!). Though we have no idea how this film ends, that final smoldering stare and slight smooch-friendly lean-in bodes well for Sally and George. (Sorry, Dustin.)

Click play on the clip above to witness all the romantic entanglement angst for yourself!

"The Art of Getting By" opens in limited release June 17.

Do you agree that "The Art of Getting By" looks totally swoon-worthy? Tell us what you think in the comments and on Twitter!

It seems like forever since we've talked about anything "High School Musical"-oriented around here. Not that we've had reason to, well, except for this. Lucky for us, we have Ashley Tisdale's just-released "HSM" spin-off "Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure" to discuss, along with a few words from the lady herself.

When I caught up with Ashley recently, I asked her what made her want to step back into Sharpay's often-sparkly shoes, and whether she's missed playing the character.

"After the first ['High School Musical'] movie it was really funny I remember, because we didn't know if we were going to do a second movie, we had no idea what was going to happen with the first movie," she said of Disney's mega-hit. "I remember taking her shoes off, I was like, 'I'm really going to miss this character,' I had so much fun," she recalled. "Especially because I was playing a character on 'The Suite Life of Zach and Cody' that was always in uniform and I felt that I got to redeem myself with all the clothes I got to wear."

So what made her want to revisit Sharpay in this fourth, "HSM"-related flick?

Reese Witherspoon recently had her first dance with new hubby Jim Toth, but the Oscar-winning actress also cut a rug with another handsome fellow: Robert Pattinson.

In their new film "Water For Elephants" (which finally hits theaters this Friday), Reese and Robert have a dance scene together, and while RPattz found himself to be nearly incapable of busting a move, Reese remembers things a little bit differently.

You see, during his "MTV First: Robert Pattinson" segment a few weeks ago, the actor confided in us about that particular sequence, saying, "That was the one bit I was most nervous about, because there were tons of extras who were really good dancers and they were all doing the Charleston and stuff."

Robert added that while his co-star Reese, "is a great dancer," he was so bad that not only did she jokingly give him a hard time about it (or, "taking the mickey out of me" as he put it), she had to practice with their dance teacher instead during rehearsals!

But when Reese sat down with MTV News, she had a different view of how the whole dancing thing went down. While she said of Rob, "As dancers go, I wouldn't say it's his forte," she also flat-out told us it's "not true" that he couldn't hold his own on the dance floor.

Katniss Everdeen may be the heroine of Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" trilogy, but if it weren't for the 16-year-old's little sister Primrose (nicknamed Prim), the events of the series would have never unfolded. So we're pretty excited to finally find out who will play the 12-year-old originally slated for the Hunger Games before Katniss took her place. Meet Willow Shields!

Much like this week's other "Hunger Games" additions, Willow is a relative unknown. Her weightiest credit thus far seems to be an appearance on an episode of "In Plain Sight."

In a statement released by Lionsgate, director Gary Ross praised the New Mexico native, saying, "It’s so exciting to find an amazing young actress like the one we just met. Prim is an emotionally demanding role and in many ways she is the cornerstone of the story. Willow Shields will make an amazing Prim and we’re very lucky to have her."
