We have to give Lady Gaga props for always picking unexpected actors as her leading music video men. Of course, everything Lady Gaga does is unexpected, but her quirky casting doesn't so much leave us scratching our heads, as it does us drooling.
Gaga redefined the art of the music video when she cast "True Blood" mega babe Alexander Skarsgård as her leading man in "Paparazzi." Gaga did what most of us only dream of: canoodle in bed with the Swedish-born hottie. Sure, he turned out to be kind of a jerk in the video. But hey, hot is still hot.
Mother Monster followed that up by casting Tyrese in the video for "Telephone." A sequel to the "Paparazzi" video, this time around she let Beyoncé have the fun. In it, Tyrese played the equally jerk-like beau to Bey. It's cool—she got her revenge. (It seems that whatever Gaga did to Alex in the "Paparazzi" video was equally effective that time around as well.)
Okay, so he is the most unexpected pick of them all, but watching a Zombie-fied Gaga get it on with tattooed model Zombie Boy in "Born This Way" was brilliant and strangely hot.
Speaking of the walking dead, Gaga decided to get "Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus to play the title character in her just-released, very buzzy new video for "Judas." He's sexy and rebellious and perfectly complements nice guy (and equally hot) Jesus, played by actor Rick Gonzalez.
