As all of West Bev celebrated the end of another academic year by strewing enough brightly colored sheets of paper to manufacture 20 rolls of recycled TP, two seniors awaited their academic fates in the principal's office. Thanks to Max's "revisions" to Naomi's history paper, both faced severe punishment for cheating: expulsion. Unable to let Max's valedictorian title be tarnished, Naomi took the blame, all but guaranteeing she wouldn't graduate or wear a CU hoodie in the fall. (Well, I mean, Naomi would never wear a hoodie period, but I think you get where I was going with that...)
However, when Max stood up to deliver his valedictorian address, asking, "What kind of person do you want to be?" he realized he wasn't being the person he—or Naomi—thought he was. He confessed his crime in front of the entire school. And all their second-cousins-once-removed and great-aunt Mildreds. Well, there goes Cal Tech...
Speaking of college dreams deferred, Liam finally told Annie that he decided to dump Drexel in favor of hopping on a boat to go deep sea fishing. Annie couldn't take the lies and betrayal (perhaps a touch over-dramatic there, Annie?), and she broke up with Liam before the first note of "Pomp and Circumstance" sounded.
But, of course, a season finale wouldn't be complete with just one major life event, hence, Ivy and Raj's nuptials! When the couple brought their families together to share the big news, it was Naomi's normally groove-tastic mom, Laurel—not Raj's stricter, arranged-marriage-planning parents—who couldn't give her blessing to the marriage.
Who needs a mom when you have Naomi as your wedding planner!? Appalled that the ceremony would likely take place in Raj's family's living room, Naomi offered to orchestrate the entire event—including a bachelorette party heavy on the penis-shaped ice cubes. Hey! What's a fete without junk-friendly refreshments? In a serendipitous turn of events, Raj's coinciding bachelor party accidentally hired a male stripper, so the faux cop was quickly shuttled over to the girls' shindig. With the guys in tow. (I'm not really sure how that solved the dude's problem of having to watch a male stripper, but whatevs...) Needing dollars for the man candy's thong, Naomi grabbed Aid's purse, only to have Silver's pills tumble out. It's about time the truth came out on that one.
But we knew all of this would happen because the specter of fallen pop-star Javier told Adrianna it would. That's right, "90210" took a page out of the playbook of CW sister series "Vampire Diaries" and gave Aid her very own ex-boyfriend ghost.
And where was Dixon during all this? Doing the only thing producers let him do these days—be the voice of reason. Dixon paid a visit to Laurel, asking her to attend Ivy's wedding. And she acquiesced just in time to walk her daughter down the aisle. (It wouldn't be an Indian wedding without an pachyderm, amiright? Do you think it was Tai from "Water for Elephants"?)
The wedding wasn't without its crashers—Adrianna showed up to ask for Silver's forgiveness, but she wouldn't have any of it, leaving Aid forlornly watching her former friends eat, drink and be merry from a cliff-side vantage point. (What?) Ghost Javier tried to convince her to jump, but Aid decided she could and would be a better person. Let's see how that works out next season.
Annie also decided to take the high road and rushed to catch Liam before he shipped out so she could offer her blessing. Max, however, had quite the opposite message to deliver to Naomi. Namely, that his parents thought Naomi was a bad influence and he was being shipped off to M.I.T. after all (guess Massachusetts doesn't care if you're a cheater). But something may just keep Max from leaving the zip—NAOMI IS PREGNANT!
