Stop everything and prepare to shriek with delight, ladies! Because the cover of June's GQ has just hit our offices. And sexy Swedish beefball Alexander Skarsgård is on it. And he's extremely freakin' handsome and his shirt is unbuttoned down to there, and OMG HE'S LOOKING RIGHT AT US AND I THINK I'M GOING TO FAINT.
Ahem.
But anyway! Alexander is looking good as the upcoming GQ coverboy, where he's featured in an extravagantly sexy photoshoot that involves copious amounts of exposed upperchest area. And inside the mag, he opens up in an interview where he talks "True Blood" sex scenes, his Swedish homeland and how he feels about his famous dad.
First things first: all those hot'n'sexy dream scenes with co-star Anna Paquin? We were sure there was some serious chemistry going on between the two, but Alexander explained that they're both just excellent fakers. (Bad news for gossip hounds, but good news for Anna's husband Stephen Moyer—we're guessing he doesn't exactly relish watching his lady love rolling around naked in the arms of a hot Viking vampire.)
"It’s really clear to Steve and to everybody else what the deal is—which is that Anna is like a sister to me," Alexander said. "Those love scenes take quite a bit of acting, actually. A lot of acting."
Of course, what we really want to know is whether his titillating scenes with Talbot were equally insincere (because daaaamn)—but given his rumored romance with Kate Bosworth (which he won't discuss), it's probably safe to assume that Alexander flies straight. Just don't expect him to open up on his love life, which would be not only out of character but distinctly unSwedish.

"It’s difficult to get to know a Swede. But once you do, you’re in," he said. Famewhoring, however, is out of the question. "You’re never going to see a television show The Skarsgårds."
Speaking of which: Alexander is the son of Stellan Skarsgård, a.k.a. the most famous actor ever to emerge from Sweden. And though he's since entered the "family business," Alexander said that he did it solely on his own steam.
"I don’t think I came to acting to compete with my father," he said. "But, you know, he wasn’t around as much as normal dads, and seeing his passion…Maybe it was a way to get his attention... I mean, if anything, we’re trying to take care of him. He’s over the hill."
Over the hill? Uh-oh. So should the paterfamilias be getting nervous about his sons kicking him off the throne? According to Stellan himself: well, YEAH.
"Of course I’m threatened," he says. "They’re younger, they’re better-looking, and they’re all trying to kill me."
