Matthew Morrison may not have had the best time in his own boy band LNMT (he once described the experience as, "the worst year of my life. You know when you're a performer and you're out there on stage and you're embarrassed that you're doing something wrong. It was pretty bad."), but that doesn't mean he's against hitting the road with two of the most popular boy bands of all time.
Matthew will open for NKOTBSB (that's New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys) starting on July 6 in Anaheim, California. He's had to shuffle around his own solo tour to accommodate the stint with the nine guys. His time with NKOTBSB will wrap up August 7 in London, Ontario, Canada. Matthew released his self-titled solo album just last week.
"This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up," Matthew said in a statement about the tour, per The Hollywood Reporter. "I am so appreciative of my fans and I'm planning to give them a great show."
Matthew is slated to perform his own track, "Still Got Tonight," next week on "Glee" during the NYC-based season finale. According to Yahoo, he belts out the balled "from an empty theatre stage…. [It] was originally going to include a big dance number, but creator Ryan Murphy decided to have Morrison sing it alone instead."
