Prepare your DVRs, Crushers! The CW has released its official fall schedule, and trust us when we say we'll be spending even more time in front of the television come autumn. Witches, a woman on the run and a backwoods doctor are all fodder for the fall season. And, according to an announcement from The CW, some of our favorite shows will also be swapping time slots.

MONDAY
8-9 p.m. "Gossip Girl"
9-10 p.m. "Hart of Dixie"
We chatted a couple of days ago about "Hart of Dixie," the new Rachel Bilson drama, but here's a fuller synopsis:
Fast-talking New Yorker and brand new doctor Zoe Hart has it all figured out—after graduating top of her class from medical school, she’ll follow in her father’s footsteps and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon. But when her dreams fall apart, Zoe decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Zoe arrives in this small Gulf Coast town only to find that Harley has passed away and left his half of the medical practice to her in his will. She quickly finds that Southern hospitality isn’t always so hospitable.
Sounds a bit like ABC's fish-out-of-water medical drama "Off the Map," but, well, still on the map.
TUESDAY
8-9 p.m. "90210"
9-10 p.m. "Ringer"
"Ringer" stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, whose character assumes a new identity (that of her wealthy identical twin) after she witnesses a murder. But, of course, her sister's life isn't as easy breezy as she thought it would be.
WEDNESDAY
8-9 p.m. "H8R"
9-10 p.m. "America's Next Top Model"
"H8R," hosted by Mario Lopez, sounds intriguing. The basic premises is that stars go head-to-head with regular folk "haters" to win them over. I'm not sure what the "head-to-head" part entails ("American Gladiators"-like obstacle courses, perhaps?) but either way it sounds a bit...dangerous.
THURSDAY
8-9 p.m. "The Vampire Diaries"
9-10 p.m. "The Secret Circle"
Smart move on The CW's part pairing its two Kevin Williamson supernatural series back to back. There's no doubt "Vampire Diaries" will give "Secret Circle" the kind of healthy lead-in it needs to gain an audience. I bet if (or perhaps I should say when) "Secret Circle" is renewed for a second season, it will be shuttled to another night to serve as its anchor.
Also of note, is this "TVD" season three tease:
Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and The Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed. As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge. The ghosts from Jeremy’s past have a powerful message they’re trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they’re having on his relationship with Bonnie. And as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families.
SO. JUICY.
FRIDAY
8-9 p.m. "Nikita"
9-10 p.m. "Supernatural"
Not to be a pessimist, but I have a feeling moving "Nikita" to the barren wasteland of Friday night will not lift the series' ratings. Just sayin'.
And lest we forget, recently renewed "One Tree Hill" will return mid-season.
