Robert Pattinson has been a very busy boy lately, traipsing all over the globe to promote his circus-centric drama "Water for Elephants." He's been so busy, in fact, that we bet the "Twilight" star didn't even have time to plan proper festivities for his very special day. The big 2-5 is an auspicious event indeed (quarter-life crisis time AND car rental eligibility...woo!), and we wouldn't want this day to pass without Rob really enjoying himself. As we're wont to do here at Hollywood Crush, we've come up with the perfect to-do list for Mr. Pattinson's 25th with, of course, accompanying Photoshoppery.
Rob will probably start off his day by taking new dog, Bear, out for a lovely morning constitutional—introducing him to his other animal love, Tai the Elephant. The meeting will so inspire Rob that he will pen a script for the 2014 blockbuster "The Pachyderm and the Pup."

TGIF, ladies—and here's some news that'll make your morning! Deadline reported late yesterday that Alex Pettyfer, also known 'round these parts as His Royal Harbodied Blondness, has been cast in the ingenue role in Steven Soderbergh's "Magic Mike"—a film based on the real-life experiences of Channing Tatum—in which he and Channing will both play male strippers.
MALE STRIPPERS.
MALE STRIPPERS WHO GET NAKED.
No, we are not making this up. And obviously, this can only mean one thing: Somewhere out there, a Hollywood producer has developed the ability to read our minds AND made it his business to personally fulfill all of our most desperate desires like some sort of modern-day, mildly perverted Fairy Godfather. (Speaking of which, we would also like a pony, a date with Hunter Parrish and a year's supply of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Thanks, dude!)

I don't want to write this. Because writing this makes it real. And this is a reality I cannot deal with: "The Vampire Diaries" is done until season three. According to my fervid internet research and informed hypothesizing, I can expect lovely new episodes in September (or around there). Which means that there will be about four months of cold sweats, night terrors and general aimlessness.
Say it with me, friends: Hello, my name is Cassie (well, insert your name) and I'm a "TVD"-aholic. And I’m already going through withdrawal.
Here’s what you need to know about last night’s ffffinale (apologies, typing that was a little rough). Jeremy is Haley Joel Osment. Sheriff Forbes is an idiot. And Damon’s not dead.
OK, great! That’s it. Enjoy the next four months.
Yeah, yeah, I was kidding. I am sucking it up. I am typing through the pain. Here we go.
ALMOST EVERY RIDICULOUS THING THAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT ON THIS SHOW THAT’S MAKING ME WAIT FOUR OR SO MONTHS TO WATCH NEW EPISODES:

If you were a fan of Hilary Duff's debut novel "Elixir"—a supernatural love story following 17-year-old photographer Clea Raymond—then we have good news for you: The actress is hard at work on the follow up, "Devoted," due out October 11!
"We're almost finished with it," she told MTV News while walking the carpet last night at Britney Spears' event to support the St. Bernard Project. "This book was a lot easier—this process because the story was kind of figured out, and so it was just extending what was already there."

You can't make a movie called "Bridesmaids" without at least a small nod to the stark reality of bridesmaids' dresses—namely, that they tend to be a) unflattering, b) uncomfortable, and c) so extravagantly ugly that they seem to be designed explicitly to destroy the self-esteem of the unfortunate lady who finds herself wearing one. (Because nothing says "I value our friendship" like forcing your besties into matching, puffed-sleeve, taffeta muumuus in a delightful shade of puce. THANKS, BRIDEFRIENDS.)
So when it came time to chat with some of the "Bridesmaids" cast members, we had to ask them the obvious question: What's the best use for a bridesmaid dress after the wedding is over?
Kristen Wiig, always a girl after our own hearts, nailed it on the first try: "Kindling?" she said. And indeed, most of these dresses are definitely best put out of their misery...although watch out, because some of those fabrics are highly flammable. (What? Of course those aren't singe marks on our eyebrows!)

We thought wallflowers were supposed to blend in, but the cast of the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is pretty much full of standouts. Yet another big name has been added to the cast—Variety reports that Dylan McDermott will play Logan Lerman's father in the film.
Logan's character is a "boy whose life dramatically changes as he learns about secrets buried deep in his past during his freshman year of high school" (and for those of you who haven't read the book yet, it's a pretty intense secret), so playing one of the parental units is a pretty tall order. Dylan joins Kate Walsh, who was announced as Logan's movie mom earlier this week.

If you think Bonnie Bennett is safe after finally battling Klaus on last week's "Vampire Diaries," think again. When we spoke to actress Kat Graham on the phone yesterday in anticipation of tonight's season finale, she told us her witchy alter ego is still poised to sacrifice herself to protect best friend Elena.
"I feel that she's still gonna do what she has to do to save Elena's life," she told us. "I don't think she's in the clear. I don't think anyone is in the clear. I think anyone can go at any moment. I think Bonnie has a lot of responsibilities. The characters in the show need her ability to do what they can and even with what happened in the last episode, when Damon gets bit by a werewolf and put this huge, dark cloud over all of them of what they're going to do to see if there even is a cure for him to get better."
After casting a spell that ensured Elena wouldn't die, the logical conclusion any viewer would draw is that Bonnie will be the one to save Damon. But, as Kat told us, the smoldery vamp isn't Bonnie's chief concern in the finale.

It's become something of a cheeky custom in Hollywood for authors of books getting the big-screen treatment to make a cameo in the resulting film. Stephenie Meyer did it in "Twilight," munching on a veggie plate at the same diner as Bella and dad Charlie. And if you saw "Something Borrowed" last weekend, you may have noticed author Emily Giffin reading her "Something Blue" on a park bench beside Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Marcus (Steve Howey). So when "Mortal Instruments" author Cassie Clare stopped by the MTV Newsroom recently, we asked if she'd consider a cameo in the upcoming "City of Bones" adaptation.
"Well, my friends Rachel Cohn and David Levithan—their book 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist' was made into a movie—and they are in the scene in the restaurant Veselka, you know, down on Ninth Street. It's one of my favorite places in New York, so if I opted to be in a scene in the movie, I would kind of want to be in a crowd scene or something," she said. "Maybe in Taki's, the sort of magical restaurant they go to. Or some place where I have a feeling of bonding with that place in New York."

In case you were wondering, this is us FREAKING OUT because we just realized we're only a couple of hours away from the season finale of "Vampire Diaries" (seriously, why does this show have to go into hiatus at all?).

We already *kind* of know what to expect from tonight's finale (a.k.a. "As I Lay Dying") from last week's episode in which Stefan (Paul Wesley) promised to find a way to save werewolf-bitten Damon (Ian Somerhalder). That being said, this is "TVD" and even when we know what to expect, WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. So we're left doing what we do best...speculating. Luckily, we've got this EXCLUSIVE, behind-the-scenes picture of Paul on set (thanks CW!) to help us piece a couple of things together. We've analyzed and obsessed over this image a thousand times to come up with the five following observations:

Since her inspired appearance at this year's Costume Institute Gala, we've been seeing Ashley Greene in a whole new light. We're not sure what changed, but the girl's been on a role with her style lately—just check out her looks below at the premiere (and after-party) for her new movie '80s-set flick, "Skateland." In the movie, Ash dons a whole lot of "groovy" outfits (see what she told us about her '80s style), but her ensembles last night were anything but a throwback.

Ashley stepped out to the red carpet premiere in a loose fitting, pink gown that was belted at the waist. While some people might say the dress was a little underwhelming (we admit it could have used a little bling), we thought the simple style looked beautiful on her, and we loved the contrast between the light color of her dress and her dark wavy hair.
