By my head, here come the Capulets! The upcoming film adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" now has not only its Juliet (Hailee Steinfeld, as previously reported), but hotheaded cousin Capulet as well—as Variety reports that Ed Westwick of "Gossip Girl" is in final negotiations for the role of Tybalt.
For those who haven't kept up on their Shakespeare, Tybalt is the play's chief antagonist and is ultimately killed by Romeo after he murders the leading man's bestie in a duel. (We'd say "Spoiler Alert," but...well, if you don't know what happens at the end of "Romeo and Juliet," then there's no way you're reading this from your lovely home under that rock.) And now that he's on board with the film, Ed is in some elite company: The role has been previously played by John Leguizamo and Alan Rickman, among others.

No one can accuse "Hunger Games" casting director Debra Zane of predictable or boring selections for the upcoming film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-selling novel. Case in point: Lionsgate announced today via Twitter that rocker Lenny Kravitz will wear Cinna's gold eyeliner.
Fans of the dystopian thriller know Cinna as Katniss' (Jennifer Lawrence) thoughtful and introspective stylist responsible for her signature "girl on fire" looks.
Of course, Lenny is best known as a musician (I totally have "American Woman" stuck in my head as I type this...) and the former love of Lisa Bonet (What!?! I'm a "Cosby Show" fan, okay?), but he's been stretching his acting muscles of late, having appeared in the Oscar-winning film "Precious."

Within the first 10 minutes of watching "True Grit" last year, breakout star Hailee Steinfeld had me (and plenty of others) convinced she'd be a great Katniss Everdeen. And while Jennifer Lawrence is going to be splendid in the role, a small part of me can't help but wonder, "What if?" I'm happy to report that, no matter what I think, Hailee is totally and completely behind the big screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games."
When I caught up with the starlet at last Friday's Young Hollywood Awards, I asked her for her thoughts on all the casting news so far.
"I honestly, as a fan of the books, cannot wait [for the movie]," she said with genuine excitement, and then asked me if I'd seen the photo of Jennifer on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

From winners and losers to surprise cameos and awesome performances, there were plenty of things to talk about after last night's Billboard Music Awards, and yet the moment that seems to have caused the biggest stir is the kiss between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Justin kissed GF Selena right after his win for Best New Artist, and while the kiss lasted approximately three seconds (we're being generous here), it was enough to set the entire internet abuzz.
This wasn't the first time an awards-show pucker has sparked headlines. In fact, throughout the years there have been plenty of memorable lip-locks that set the trail for Sel and the Biebs. Check out our list of the five most memorable awards show smooches after the jump!

Between "The Twilight Saga," "The Hunger Games" trilogy and every Jane Austen adaptation ever made, we can't help noticing that Hollywood has a serious literary bent: The best movies all seem to start out as really great books. So we're extra-psyched by Deadline's report that "The Future of Us," a novel by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler, has just had its film rights snatched up by Warner Bros.—before the first printing has even hit stores. That's like buzz on top of buzz for a book that won't even be readable until November.
So, about "The Future of Us"! Don't let the schlocky-romance-sounding name fool you; this is a time-traveling drama for the digital age—think "Back to the Future" meets "The Social Network"—featuring a teenage girl who logs onto the internet for the first time in 1996, and thanks to a rip in the space-time continuum, stumbles upon the Faceboook profile of her 20-something future self. (What happens next? Dunno! But we can probably assume that hijinks ensue!)

When Jennifer Lawrence came 'round for a chat at the MTV News studios, it was technically for the purposes of promoting her role in the soon-to-be-released "X-Men: First Class." But once we had her on our couch, there was no way we weren't going to mention that other movie in which she was recently cast. You know the one we're talking about. YOU KNOW.
"Oh yeah, that little guy," Jennifer said with a laugh, as Josh Horowitz held up the Entertainment Weekly emblazoned with the first-ever photos of the actress in her "Hunger Games" regalia.
Yeah, THAT ONE.
At this point, there's no question that Jennifer has what it takes to play Katniss Everdeen on the big screen. And even before her brunette dye job and newly tanned skin put the grumbling naysayers to rest, we'd already heard from multiple sources that her audition blew every other would-be Katniss out of the water. But we hadn't heard from the girl herself about her mindset heading in to the audition—a process that was probably made easier by the fact that Jennifer is a fan of "The Hunger Games" herself.

You know you’re in for an interesting night when Justin Bieber arrives in a gold blazer, and last night’s Billboard Music Awards proved to be exactly that. From surprising duets to unexpected cameos (it's Britney, bitch!), the ceremony had plenty of awesome moments, but what really caught our attention was the red carpet fashion. The guys and gals, including Selena Gomez, Rihanna and more, wore outfits ranging from totally glam to slightly absurd. We highlight some of the more noteworthy looks below.
If Justin's goal last night was to shock us (or is it wow us? We're not sure yet!), he definitely succeeded. The Biebs hit the red carpet in a gold blazer (with SHIMMER) and a black tie that totally had us doing a double-take. Admittedly, we kinda prefer Justin in black-on-black, but we can't blame the guy for stepping things up a notch. After all, he did have to hold his own next to girlfriend (did you see that smooch they shared?!) Selena, who looked totally fab in a black Dolce&Gabbana gown with cut-outs at the waist. Sel paired the chic gown with some striking red heels and wore her hair flat-iron straight (great choice!).

For savvy YA fans, there are few similarities between Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance and Suzanne Collins' gritty tale of survival. But, of course, not everyone who writes things on the internet knows this. Thus, the deluge of comparisons between the already-blockbuster franchise and the sure-to-be blockbuster franchise (i.e. "The Twilight Saga" and "The Hunger Games"). Though, it probably would be fair to say that Jennifer Lawrence is just one boffo box office away from the kind of success that Kristen Stewart has been enjoying (or rather, enduring) for the last few years.
So when Katniss herself stopped by MTV News yesterday, we asked if she's ever met Bella—er—Miss Stewart, or if she'd ever consider commiserating with her over their shared fates.
"No, I haven't spoken to her," Jennifer replied. "But I think if I ever passed her we'd be like [points at invisible Kristen and then herself, shrugging her shoulders and making untranscribable noises]." By which we think she means they'd give each other a knowing look.

We've been adoring fans of Jason Sudeikis for a long time—ever since he first appeared in the background of a "What's Up With That?" sketch on "SNL," doing what can only be described as The World's Most Special Dance. But our love for Jason was also imbued with longing and sadness, because we could only ever see him a paltry once a week on NBC. But now that he'll be hosting the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, Jason is popping up all over the place! All the time! It's amazing! And as you can see in this promo video, you never know where he might appear next:
That's leggy Leighton Meester in the dentist's chair—no doubt prepping her pearly whites for this year's awards, where she's nominated for Best Villain. But that's no dentist who's dropping in for a visit; it's Jason! He's got charm, he's got charisma, and...he's got nitrous oxide. And he's not afraid to use it.
