Chord Overstreet is turning heads these days thanks to his brand new hair color. Usually platinum blond, the "Glee" star has everyone wondering why he's rocking a brunette look these days. When MTV News caught up with him on Monday (May 16) at the Fox Upfront in New York City, where he talked about all things "Glee" (so stay tuned for that!), he revealed all.

"I actually just cut the highlights out and there's like a little bit of tips left," he dished on the new 'do. "But I just evened it out with my roots."

Of course, Chord has made a name for himself thanks to his super blond locks on the show, so he does promise that they will eventually have to make a big return at some point. "I kind of just went for [it and] colored it close to the majority of my hair," the naturally brown-haired actor said. "So I kind of just cut it all off. This is like what I look like when I don't have blond hair."

Calling "Twilight" a hot property would be like calling Justin Bieber "well-liked" by his fans — technically true, but a total understatement. Sure, for every Twihard, there's a naysayer putting the books and movies down. Still, the pool of contenders who were vying to direct the final two installments of the film franchise included some real Hollywood heavyweights, indicating more than a modicum of r-e-s-p-e-c-t from the film community. The Oscar-friendly candidates included Bill Condon, Sofia Coppola and Gus Van Sant.

Obviously, Bill won the honor, but Gus opened up about the selection process when we caught up with him at the Cannes Film Festival. So what's going through the mind of an Oscar-nominated director during an "audition" for a job?

"I got very nervous," Gus revealed. "There were like 15 people. I had never really auditioned or gone into a job interview in that way since maybe 1988 or '87. I guess I was unprepared for that. Usually people just hire me."

It's clear there are two types of "Vampire Diaries" fans: Those who want to see Elena end up with stable, lovable boyfriend Stefan, and those who want to see her with his bad-boy brother Damon. And after last week's surprising season finale, it looks like Delena shippers might just get their wish.

When we sat down with star Nina Dobrev a few weeks ago, we asked you, our loyal Hollywood Crush readers for your best burning questions. In light of recent events, one seemed particularly timely: What qualities does Damon bring out of Elena and what qualities does Stefan bring out of Elena?

"Damon brings a lot of worry out of Elena," Nina said. "Damon shows up and she just tenses up because something is going to happen. It's like a countdown to 30 seconds and someone is going to die. With Stefan, whenever he's around she's just—it's almost like she melts into his arms and she feels somewhat relieved. But at the same time when you think about it, whenever the two of them are around, that means there's a little bit of trouble."

If it wasn't evident from the recently released "True Blood" season four trailer, we will be seeing a lot of bare-chested manmeat when the HBO series returns June 26. In fact, when we caught up with star Joe Manganiello recently, he gave us the lowdown on just how much pec-tasticness we can expect from his wolfie character Alcide Herveaux.

"Well, I think I'm shirtless or naked three out of seven [episodes] we've done," Joe said with a grin. "So if we talked in baseball terms, three out of seven is like Hall of Fame numbers."

That is one Hall of Fame we'd certainly visit (over and over again). But while Joe was forthcoming about his nudie numbers, he was a bit more coy about specifics plot points from the upcoming season when we asked for scoop.

Over the weekend, audiences got their first glimpse at what a kick-butt Clary Fray could look like as Lily Collins' vampire action flick "Priest" hit the big screen. And if you liked what you saw, you're in luck because Lily will re-team with "Priest" director Scott Stewart for the film adaptation of Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments" novel "City of Bones," in which she will play a demon-slaying Shadowhunter.

We here at Hollywood Crush have never been shy about our love for strong female heroines, which is why this week, Lily Collins earns our Girl Crush title.

"I'm this week's Girl Crush?" she asked enthusiastically. "Oh my gosh. Wow. Thank you. That is a huge honor. I'm just, like, honored to be in an MTV building being interviewed. Wow. Thank you."

Of course, as we do with each of our honorees, we had to ask who Lily would pick as her Girl Crush. And she had several. "I love Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet and Sandra [Bullock]," she said. "I feel so lucky to be able to work with Sandra because she is one of my favorites. I love everything from their sense of style to their choices in films."

If you aren't already planning to go see "Bridesmaids" this weekend, you need to make a scheduling adjustment, stat. This film has so many wonderful things going for it: an all-star cast of hilarious comediennes, Jon Hamm having awkward sex, the R-rated funny movie pedigree from producer Judd Apatow. The main draw, however, is the universal and consistently humorous, often laborious experience of being in and attending weddings.

When I caught up with lovely and charming Wendy McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper, I brought up the topic of how labor-intensive the whole wedding industrial complex has gotten, i.e. engagement parties, wedding showers, etc., which started an excellent back-and-forth brainstorm about how to fix things.

"I think it's gotten completely [out of control]," Ellie said of all the events and parties that preempt actual weddings. "When my mom got married I think it was announced on a Thursday and they got married on a Saturday and she found a white dress and wore it, and now it is a year-long process of unending parties."

Welcome to the time of year when all we can think about is flying to to the south of France, mingling amongst classy Europeans (you know, the kind that sips soda out of those little glass bottles!) and celeb spotting day and night. It's the Cannes Film Festival. And we want to be there. Instead, however, we're at our desks looking at pictures from all the fabulous events with all the fabulous people in all of the fabulous dresses. SIGH.

There is a silver lining, however—looking at all those pictures helped us find some strong candidates for this week's best and worst dressed. Not that it was easy to choose (for either category). After all, since every awesome celeb ever has flocked to France, we've seen our fair share of good and bad fashion moments. Still, out of the masses, there was one that really shined and one that strayed. Keep reading below to find out which Cannes lady is this week's Style Superstar and which one needs a lesson in European style.

Oh, Rachel McAdams, why are you so cute? The girl looked adorbs at a Cannes photocall on Wednesday for her upcoming movie "Midnight In Paris," wearing a flirty white Maxime Simoens Couture dress with floral embellishments on the sleeves. Admittedly, this dress wasn't as elaborate or dramatic as some of the other gowns we spotted on the various Cannes red carpets, but you know what? It was simple, chic and perhaps most importantly, well put together. In other words, totally worthy of Style Superstar status.

Soon-to-be-ex Disney darling Selena Gomez (filming on the final season of her hit "Wizards of Waverly Place" wraps this month) is known for roles that keep sassy sweet and make for a pretty PG personal life. While many alums of the kid-friendly network relish the freedom that comes with the end of their Mouse House contracts (with that relishing often taking the form of uber-adult roles and scantily clad photo shoots or stage performances), Selena seems satisfied with her image—among fans, at least.

In the latest Teen Vogue, Selena talks about staying true to her fans, the fight to be taken seriously by casting directors and her attitude toward love.

As much as fans love Selena, she might just love them more. As she told Teen Vogue, she started her clothing line after a fan confessed to buying an outfit to mimic something Selena had worn, and her new single, "Who Says," is an anthem for her fans. Selena may adore her fans, but she hates when the paparazzi try to cash in on those feelings.

Waiting sucks a little less thanks to the just-released trailer for "True Blood"'s witchy fourth season (premiering June 26). The 30-second spot is light on pivotal plot points, but I'm cool with that because there's plenty of Eric Northman. (My Twitter bio doesn't read "future wife of Alexander Skarsgård," for nothin'.) But I know not everyone is as obsessed with the strapping viking as I am, so here's my list of four noteworthy things from the trailer (with only one paltry Eric shout-out).

1. A little bit of self-referential humor featuring...Alexander Skarsgård
This exchange:

Sookie (covering her otherwise naked body with some sort of makeshift garment): "Is this another dream?"

Eric (looking her up and down): "This is not a dream."

Yes, it is a dream. My dream! It's about darn time these two hook-up for realsies.
