Yesterday, we officially became a stylist to the stars when we selected a Lanvin and Louboutin ensemble for Kristen Stewart to sport at the upcoming MTV Movie Awards. Well, we had such a great time with our new-found career vision that we just had to Style the Star for another one of our fave young fashionistas: Emma Watson.*
Though she may not see herself as a style icon, we definitely do! Between designing a clothing line for People Tree, vamping for Lancome and Burberry, chopping off her hair into a fabulous cropped 'do and wearing all the best couture from Valentino to Versace, it’s no surprise that Emma has already earned our weekly Style Superstar accolade twice.
The "Harry Potter" starlet has been through a fashion metamorphosis this year, from black, lace and feathers promoting "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" last summer to pastels, ruffles and modern romanticism for her most recent red carpet appearance in February. She is definitely daring and playful with her style, and isn’t afraid to branch out from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Burberry to wear more under-the-radar designers like Rafael Lopez, Vionnet and Hakaan. On Sunday, we could totally see Emma wearing this summery frock from French fashion house Carven, paired with Kara Ross silver and onyx earrings, an Yves Saint Laurent cage cuff and Diane von Furstenberg wooden wedges. This look is youthful, fun and plays to all of Emma's stylish sensibilities: edgy touches, feminine flourishes and classic yet current pieces. In the ensemble we've concocted just for her, the MTV Movie Awards nominee would be anything but a wallflower!
