Don't you hate when stars swear they don't read online gossip? Come on! Puh-lease! We know you do it! Just admit it!
One celebrity who is—commendably—not denying her penchant for interweb chatter is "The Help" star Bryce Dallas Howard. In fact, during our Sneak Peek Week event with the actress and her "The Help" cast mate Emma Stone, she admitted—for the world to hear—that her addiction is online gossip sites.
"Terrible, terrible," she said of the admission. "I mean, that's really not good stuff. And I have it kind of under control, but the fact that I have to have it under control—like, I have rules for myself—means it's an addiction."
Of course, we were dying to know what these "rules" entail.
"That I can only click on one thing per day," she informed us. Torture! Pure torture that would be! Yet, co-star Emma thought it seemed like a wise plan.
"That's a good move," she said. "That's why I quit Facebook because I was too into it. I loved it. I had to stop."
And though Emma has sworn off Facebook, she still maintains a Twitter account. Well, "maintain" might not be the right word.
"I have a Twitter!" she exclaimed. "But I've tweeted twice. I'm sorry I got so intense about it, but sometimes there are people that say that they're you on Twitter but they're not you. I read people's Twitter. I follow people on Twitter, but the act of tweeting makes me really nervous and really uncomfortable."
Aw, you can do it, Emma!
Admit it: Are you addicted to online gossip too? Could you limit yourself to one click per day? Tell us in the comments and on Twitter!
