Big sis Dakota may have a few years on her, but 13-year-old Elle Fanning is playing catch-up quite nicely in the movies department. After films like "Babel" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," Elle is taking on her most high-profile project yet with this week's buzzy J.J. Abrams romp "Super 8."
Elle plays Alice Dainard, the lone girl in a group of kids who witness a mysterious train crash and capture it on film while making a lo-fi zombie flick. It's probably not hard to guess that as the only rose among thorns, Alice is the crush-object of several of the neighborhood boys. And you know what? We're going to echo those sentiments and declare Elle Fanning this week's Girl Crush!
As is customary, in exchange for the honor, we asked Elle to reveal her own Girl Crush.
"[I have] a huge one on Alexa Chung—her fashion, everything," she said of the former MTV host and English model. "I went to the Met Ball and met her, and I was like, 'Oh my god. I can't even believe it.' I couldn't contain myself."
