We've had a beast of a girl crush on Emma Stone ever since "Superbad," but after seeing her latest feature in July's ELLE magazine, that shizz just went up to eleven. Confident, cool and still rocking her blond "Spider-Man" dye job in a quirky photo shoot, Emma makes the ultimate down-to-earth summer cover girl. And just when you thought you couldn't love her more, here she goes in her interview—quipping hilariously about fame, baking and how hard she rocks at Farmville.

"I got to level 42, and I wasn’t doing anything else anymore, so I had to stop," Emma admitted. (Girl, we know how you feel. Wanna trade tips on sheep husbandry?) But with her career blowing up, the actress doesn't have time to mess around with virtual crops anymore—although we're glad to see that she's with-it enough to be circumspect about her personal life. ("You have to keep some things sacred," she said, declining to talk about her former relationship with Kieran Culkin) And judging by her detached attitude, it's probably safe to say that the fame hasn't really sunk in yet.
"It’s so funny how different life could have been," she mused. "I went to so many auditions. I remember my audition for 'Heroes.' I went in right after Hayden Panettiere. Now here we are in this rented house. It feels like it just happened."
Granted, getting passed over for the role of the indestructible cheerleader probably delayed Emma's rise to major stardom by a couple of years. But that might not be such a bad thing, since (for now, at least) she can still go out in public without getting hounded by fame-chasers...and since she still hasn't mastered the art of filtering her thoughts into media-friendly soundbites.
"I mean, I haven’t been around very long," she says. "I can’t expect everyone to have seen 'The House Bunny.' Oh God. I am having such waves of internal embarrassment, which now I’m admitting on a tape recorder. This is so one of the things I should keep in my head."
Aww, Emma. Don't ever change.
