Mark your calendars: the invasion will begin March 29, 2013. That's when the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's 2008 sci-fi novel, "The Host," will debut in theaters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
For the uninitiated, the long-gestating film takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which aliens have implanted themselves in human hosts. We meet one such alien named Wanderer, who has recently taken over the body of Earthling Melanie. But Melanie won't go peacefully, and she and Wanderer embark on an uneasy alliance to find and rescue Melanie's surviving friends and family.
With today's big release announcement, we thought we'd take a look at everything we know about the film thus far.

We haven't heard much from Anne Hathaway lately, and no wonder—she's been too busy working herself into peak physical condition in preparation for her role as Catwoman in the next "Batman" film. But she did take time out from her crazy schedule of stunt work, training and dance class to meet up with Harper's Bazaar. Looking glam and sophisticated as ever (not to mention seriously in shape), she's this month's cover girl and interview subject, happily offering up a few insights into how she went from family-friendly star to serious actor at the top of Hollywood's A-list.
"I think people assumed that I was a girl searching for a happily-ever-after, when for me that's the least interesting part of the story," she explained of the roles that followed her breakout performance in "The Princess Diaries." Instead of keeping things light, she delved into more emotionally wrought territory—specifically, the challenging part of a repressed Southern wife in "Brokeback Mountain." She credits the role with giving her a chance to spread her wings and become more confident as an actress.
"I was just this lost, timid person," she said of her mindset at the time.

"True Blood" kicked off its fangtastic fourth season last night, and more so than ever before, the bloodsuckers' place in polite society is being questioned thanks to that vampire king filleting a newscaster, live on air. (It's a post-Russell Edgington world, and we're just living in it, people!)
Yet, as the drama plays out on screen, what many viewers don't realize is that there are thousands of "real vampires" who exist as very real members of society across the world. Much like the vampires of "True Blood," these vampires have only recently begun to come forward to discuss the truth behind their existence.
Hollywood Crush is excited to welcome real vampire and occult expert, Michelle Belanger (@sethanikeem), who will help us dive deeper into "True Blood"'s already epic fourth season each week this summer.
Before we delve into "She's Not There," it might be helpful to answer the question, What the $#@! is a "real vampire"?

Between jetting off to awards shows, filming "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" and gearing up for season three of "The Vampire Diaries" in September, there's no question that Nina Dobrev has a lot on her plate. But is it too much?
We caught up with Nina at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards post party earlier this month—where we found her unwinding with "TVD" executive producer Julie Plec and co-stars Steven R. McQueen and Kayla Ewell—to get the scoop on how she manages her workload and whether, after two seasons, it's still exciting to slip into the roles of Elena and Katherine.
"It's definitely fun still," Nina said (feel free to let out that sigh of relief!). The 22-year-old, however, shared that since the show is so fast paced, she sometimes fears they might run out of twists and turns for the viewers. (Confession: We've totally been afraid of that too!) "I wonder when we're going to burn out and when there won't be anymore story to tell," she said.
Luckily, that's where scribe Julie comes in.

When we last left off on "True Blood," Sookie had been spirited away to a faerie confab—which, as you know if you caught the sneak preview of the show's first eight minutes, doesn't turn out so well. The garden party is populated by scores of pretty guests, with all the golden ambiance of a teensy Italian bistro and an endless supply of "light fruit" (glowing comestibles that look like radioactive mangoes)—and hey, look, there's Barry the psychic bellboy! And Sookie's long-lost dead grandpa! But while Sook chats with Granddaddy, she can't help noticing that there's a skulking demon in their midst...and her attempt to issue a telepathic warning doesn't go over so well considering that, y'know, everyone else at the party can read minds. The real deal: Faerie queen Mab is super-peeved at Bill's impromptu visit to the faerie garden last season, and she's going to close the gate and initiate a massive human harvest.
NOOOOOOO! Sookie blasts Mab with her magic hand-light, causing the pretty surroundings to melt away and all the attractive guests to morph into gaunt, fanged monsterfaeries who look like cousins of the cave-dwelling beasts from "The Descent." The only two non-homicidal fae at the party help Sookie and Granddad to escape...but whoops, Gramps ate the light fruit, which means he's doomed. He hands Sookie his pocket watch and says a tearful goodbye before dissolving into dust.
And, someplace far away, Bill and Eric are simultaneously wakened by their internal Sookie Alarm.

With only two days to go before the "True Blood" season premiere, we're getting antsy for a new round of supernatural drama...but with so many months passed since last season's finale, we're also in need of a refresher course on just what's going on in Bon Temps. And so are you! (Right?) So before the fangs come out to play on Sunday night, we're buckling down for a cram session—the better to remember who's dead, who's undead and where we left off last season.
1. Faerie, faerie, quite contrary
So we finally know the deal with Sookie: She's a faerie! Which explains all the mind-reading, light-blasting and ethereal-orgy-hallucinating that went on last season—and also why she's such a hot prospect for vampire queen Sophie-Anne, since her magic faerie blood serves as a sort of imbibeable sunscreen for the be-fanged. The daylight-loving Sophie wants to drain Sookie like a human slushie; Bill has vowed to fight her to the death in an attempt to keep his ladylove safe. Whether Sookie appreciates Bill's efforts remains to be seen, though. Turns out that Bill was originally sent to Bon Temps to procure Sookie—a revelation for which she promptly dumped him, and their whole relationship has been a lie, and let's also not forget that she's still having super-steamy sex dreams about Eric Northman every other night. UNF.

I'll admit, I'm already in "Glee" withdrawal, even though I agree with Jim Cantiello that the New Directions trip to New York was kind of unsatisfying. Enter this week's Summer Beach Read, Kim Culbertson's "Instructions for a Broken Heart," which follows a group of high school theater kids on their spring break trip to Italy. And in the role of a much more likable Rachel Berry type is Jessa, an overachiever with a penchant for poetic thoughts and an iPod full of Broadway musicals.
The story begins just days before the big trip, when Jessa finds her boyfriend Sean in a compromising position with Natalie, another member of their drama posse. And though she's devastated, Jessa refuses to skip the trip she's been saving for all year, even if it means having to see Sean and Natalie's PDA nonstop for 10 days.
Lucky for Jessa, she has one thing Rachel never had, well, two things: best friends Carissa and Tyler. Carissa sits out the trip, but sends with Tyler a packet of 20 envelopes to give Jessa, containing the "Top 20 Reasons He's a Slimy Jerk Bastard." She's supposed to open two envelopes a day for the course of the trip, and after reading the different reminders from Carissa of all the terrible, selfish or mildly annoying things Sean did, she has to complete an assigned task, under the capable guidance of stage manager Tyler. And those tasks range from thinking of five things she hates about Sean to publicly denouncing him in song or verse. We should all have such creative friends when in the throes of self-pity.

Justin Bieber knows how girls should smell, or at least that's what he told MTV News on Thursday in New York City where he held a fan event for his just-released fragrance, Someday.
"I just think that what we decided to do—making the fragrance for females, not getting a cologne for males—I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm more concerned about how girls smell 'cause I'm a guy, and I know what smells good, and I know what I like, so girls should know, if [I like] it, then other guys are going to like it," he shared.

You may have heard of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Elle Style Award winner, British Vogue cover girl and CinemaCon’s Female Star of Tomorrow. And she replaced Megan Fox to star alongside Shia LaBeouf in the upcoming "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon." Did we mention she’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel? This beautiful 24-year-old has accomplished quite a bit so far, but she’s still missing one of the industry’s greatest honors. Well Rosie, it’s your lucky day today. We officially crown you this week’s Style Superstar. Keep reading to find out which outfit earned her this honor, and which star should take style lessons from Rosie.
Rosie made our jaws drop in an elegant yet ultra-sexy Gucci dress at the Moscow premiere of "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon." The asymmetrical neckline, sheer chiffon skirt, soft chartreuse bodice and thin belt combine perfectly to create this show-stopping ensemble. It was a tough call choosing between her sleek Michael Kors stunner at the film’s Brazilian press conference, her Dolce & Gabbana pants outfit on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and this Gucci beauty, but we knew this look was a winner when Rosie managed to steal our eye away from her dreamy costar, Josh Duhamel.
