As a casual observer of the rich and famous, I like to assume that everyone knows everyone in Hollywood, and that they're all best friends forever. In fact, nothing delights me more than witnessing a genuine friendship between actors. Case in point: "Harry Potter" stars Tom Felton and Rupert Grint.

Sure, they've known each other for more than a decade, and are always all nicey-nice at promotional events and such, but at last night's premiere of Tom's new movie, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," Rupert went above and beyond the friendly gesture of showing up at his friend's premiere—he dressed for the occasion with a custom made "I Heart Tom Felton" T-shirt.

I was lucky enough to witness the moment when Tom saw Rupert and his T-shirt which, obviously, was adorable. A beaming Rupert opened up his blazer a bit to better showcase his efforts, which sent Tom into a fit of giggles. They posed for a few photos, which you can see in the video above.

"I've had a crush on him for years!" Tom joked. "Finally, he's coming out [with his appreciation]. It's great," he said with a smile.

Ryan GoslingWe've been pretty lucky here at MTV News to get our hands on Ryan Gosling (metaphorically speaking, of course) numerous times over the course of his impressive career. And with the actor baring his soul (and abs) in this weekend's romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love," it seemed the perfect moment to dig through our archives and curate a collection of our favorite Ryan Gosling moments. (A hard job, it was not.)

While there's still drama with some of the cast of "Glee" (like if we'll see Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith in something "Glee"-related following season 3), cast mate and "The Smurfs" star Jayma Mays weighed in on what she wants to see happen for her character, Emma Pillsbury, when the upcoming season kicks off this fall.

With things perpetually up in the air with Will Schuester, Jayma is excited to explore her character's OCD storyline a bit more as the season progresses. "Well, as far as my character goes, I love the fact that at the end of last season she finally admitted that she had a problem, and she started taking medication for it," Jayma said, though she did warn that that doesn't mean all's finally well.

We like to shake things up here in Style Superstar land. Sometimes, we honor celebs with consistently killer style, like Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev. Other times, we recognize stars who burst onto our radar after sporting a fabulous outfit, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Rosa Byrne. This week, we’re rewarding one of young Hollywood’s finest celebs for pulling a phenomenal fashion 180: teen queen Miley Cyrus.

Miley’s made headlines for some very revealing outfits on her recent world tour, but she emerged at a benefit for the Starkey Hearing Foundation in Minnesota this week wearing a stunning, sophisticated and, yes, very sexy black dress. The asymmetrical, one-sleeved gown fits her rockin’ bod like a glove. It’s mature, but with hot orange nails, subtle bikini top tan lines and undone hair, Miley doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard to grow up. A lesson we can all learn from Ms. Cyrus? You don’t need to have your cleavage, midriff and legs on display in order to be sexy! We hope this sleek, understated sex appeal continues in her future red carpet appearances.

Mid-summer days have always left me feeling a little disappointed. In June, you're full of anticipation for the freedom and fun summer can bring, but July can't possibly live up to all of your expectations. That's why, for my recent Summer Beach Reads, I've been reaching for books in which the protagonists literally escape their everyday lives—of course, not necessarily by choice—and discover danger and love and adventure on the road. One prime example is Moira Young's "Blood Red Road," a dystopian thriller about a girl trekking through the desert in search of her kidnapped twin brother—go back to guest blogger Sara Gundell's review of that one from May. Another is "Angel Burn," by L.A. Weatherly, one of the most exciting, imaginative stories I've read in a while.

Fans of "Hush, Hush" and "Fallen" might be reluctant to give up their loyalties to Patch or Daniel, but this time, it's not the winged creatures that have me all aflutter. It's the boy who's trained his whole life to kill them. And actually, the angels in question are a little more like parasitic aliens than biblical creatures.

One of Julianne Moore's best lines in the comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love" comes when she confesses to her husband that she bailed on work to go see the new "Twilight" movie by herself...and, she sobs, "It was so bad!"

But before you go lynching one of our favorite redheads for her crimes against Cullen-manity, you should know that her character's harsh words do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Julianne herself; when we caught up with the actress on the red carpet, she was quick to say that she hasn't seen more than "a little piece" of only one of the "Twilight" movies. And in fact, she says, the line says a lot more about the character in question than about the quality of our favorite vampire romance.

"I think what's kind of great about the line is not only is it really, really funny, but it's just telling how this woman is so starved for romance that she goes to see a teenage romantic movie in the middle of the afternoon. So that's really what the line is about."

Ryan Murphy has been toying with our emotions lately. And if he doesn't make up his mind soon about plans for his "Glee" stars, I might just throw a slushie in his face! Okay, not really. But the back-and-forth on his plans for the future of the show's breakout stars, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer, is getting out of hand. And now things just got a little more complicated.

In light of all the he-said-she-said news regarding Lea, Cory and Chris' status for "Glee"'s fourth season, Ryan told Deadline he's putting plans for his scripted "Glee" spin-off on hold.

Ryan told Deadline he talked to Lea, Cory, and Chris earlier this year about the possibility of starring in a spin-off in which their characters would leave Lima, Ohio, and move to New York City to attend college at Juilliard. But when the news of their potential "Glee" exit hit the web, Ryan decided to reevaluate his plans.

"To pick up and read the actors saying, 'We found out we were fired from Twitter.' All of us, the studio, the network, were like, 'OK, that isn't exactly cool,' because we involved all three of them in that decision. So then what happened is that we decided, 'OK, let’s not do it.' So that’s where we are today."

Oh, snap! It sounds like Ryan and his stars weren't exactly on the same page, after all. But it seems like the real losers in this situation are the fans. Especially the ones who wanted to see Rachel, Finn and Kurt take on the big city. So that leads me to this very important question, Crushers:

Would you watch a "Glee" spin-off with Rachel, Kurt and Finn in NYC? Vote in our poll after the jump!

It's no secret that the final chapter of "The Twilight Saga" includes a heck of a payoff: the blessed-slash-horrifying birth of Bella and Edward's baby! And since we've been chatting with "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon, we had to ask the obvious question: How do you film a vampire baby busting its way out of the womb without violating every tenet of PG-13 movie-making (not to mention every law of human decency)?

Turns out, Bill had a brilliant idea for keeping it real without making it gross: "I just gave myself one rule, which was let's only see what Bella can see, lying there. So all this stuff is happening, she's seeing it from her point of view—she can look around, she can look up."

If the marketing campaign for this weekend's "Crazy, Stupid, Love" has taught us anything, it's that Ryan Gosling possesses the kind of rippling abdominal region that seems possible only through extensive digital manipulation. But if you're any sort of Gosling buff, you knew that already. From "The Notebook" to "Fracture," there's plenty of celluloid evidence attesting to the glories of Ryan's taut torso. Though, we'll admit after hours of meticulous video research, that he's never been in finer form than he is now.

But you didn't come here for a bunch of blather from me. Click on the video above for our brief retrospective/appreciation of Ryan's abs on film (fainting couch and cold compress sold separately).

When Jennifer Lawrence fired up the cover of Entertainment Weekly in May, sporting Katniss' brunette braided locks and signature bow and arrow, she silenced many critics who questioned whether the too blond, too voluptuous, too tall, too whatever actress could portray "The Hunger Games" heroine. And now, her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth (who play Peeta and Gale) have their own dedicated cover, displaying their own franchise-friendly makeovers. But were these "'Hunger Games' Hotties," as the magazine calls them, able to follow in Jennifer's fan-approved footsteps? According to several "THG" experts, the answer is mostly yes.

"A lot of people were very adamant about not accepting Jennifer as Katniss, but she pulled it off wonderfully," Megan Scott of The Hob said. "Now, with the guys, everyone has been dying to see Peeta and Gale in character, and I think they nailed it."
