Lest you thought that a decade of stardom had gone to the head of all the young actors of the "Harry Potter" films, here's the cutest "Stars! They're Just Like Us!" story EVER. Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, chatted with MTV News' Josh Horowitz on the red carpet before the premiere of " Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"—and recounted the tale of what he called "a terribly embarrassing moment in New York City".
Which is to say, Matthew got caught doing exactly what anybody would do if they were pictured on a giant promotional poster in the middle of Times Square:
"I was with a friend," he explained, "and there was a big 'Harry Potter' poster up in Times Square, and I was pointing out where I was on the poster...and as I point to the poster, someone taps me on the shoulder and says, 'Excuse me, are you Matthew Lewis?'"
Okay. So let's just pause for a moment to acknowledge how adorable it is that Matthew Lewis, celebrity, is not only still so thrilled to be part of the "Harry Potter" franchise that he's pointing himself out on the posters, but such a big sweetheart that he'd actually be embarrassed to get caught doing it.
"It was the most horrible expression of narcissism in the world!" he said. "I'm just there in Times Square, pointing at myself, saying, 'Hey, that's me!'"
Dude. That is you. Say it loud, and say it proud! Because soon it'll be over, and the "Harry Potter" posters will be replaced by promos for some other blockbuster, never to be seen again. Hysterical sobbing in 3...2...WAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH.
