Victoria Justice couldn’t be more excited for her show's first-ever Emmy nomination. The Nick series is up for Outstanding Children's Program against fellow heavy hitters, like "A Child's Garden Of Poetry," "Degrassi," "iCarly" and "Wizards Of Waverly Place."
When we caught up with Victoria on the Cleveland set of her upcoming Halloween movie "Fun Size" last week—the same day the nominations were announced—she was psyched by the prospect of being in such great company. "We're nominated for an Emmy, which is crazy," she dished. "I'm so honored that we were even recognized and it's really, really very exciting."
At the time, Victoria had yet to speak to the rest of her "Victorious" cast but did chat with the man responsible for the show. "I have talked to Dan Schneider, who created the show and who is an executive producer on the show, and he is just freaking out. We're all really, really excited."
So does she think she'll take home any hardware? "Chances of winning? We're up against 'iCarly,' which I'm also really excited for them. We're all on the same network—big Nickelodeon family. But I mean, even if we don’t win, it's not gonna get me down," she said. "Just the fact that we were recognized and nominated in the first place is enough for me."
Are you a fan of "Victorious"? Do you hope they take home the Emmy?
