San Diego Comic-Con—the annual celebration of all things nichey, nerdy and, well, neato—officially kicks off tomorrow, but you better believe we've been compiling our to-do list for weeks. Because, really, we have to schedule strategically in order to fit in all the panels and events for our Crush-worthy favorites like "Twilight," "The Vampire Diaries" and more. Luckily, our iCal is now well-stocked (and most non-conflicty), so take a peek below at the five Comic-Con things we're most excited about (and don't forget to add your own anticipated events in the comments section!).
"Breaking Dawn" bonanza
The Con is kicking off on Thursday just the way it should—with a "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" panel. Summit Entertainment has promised exclusive footage and a Q&A session with the film's cast, which so far includes cutie Taylor Lautner, who will be pulling double-duty promoting both "BD" and his upcoming action flick "Abduction."
And in EVEN MORE EXCITING NEWS, we're hosting a "Breaking Dawn" livestream later in the day featuring cast members from the highly anticipated flick. If you haven't yet, be sure to send in your questions to @MTVNews using the hashtag #MTVSDCC.
"True Blood" time
There are worse worse ways one could spend a Friday evening than staring at dreamy Alexander Skarsgård. And Ryan Kwanten. And Joe Manganiello. Wait, what did you say, Anna Paquin? We were a little distracted...
"Vampire Diaries" drama
Last season's finale left us with so many questions. I mean, vampire-ghost girlfriends?! Here's hoping co-executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec and castmates Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Candice Accola and Joseph Morgan have some answers (and bring some seriously juicy teaser footage from season three!) on Saturday.
Getting "Glee"-ful
There's been a lot of intrigue coming from the set of the Fox musical series (Chord Overstreet moving on? Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer graduating?), so we bet creator Ryan Murphy will have plenty to say when he debuts a sneak peek at "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" on Sunday.
YA Wonders
Movies and TV shows aren't the only media getting love this weekend—YA will get a bit fat kiss from the convention too. If you don't want to attend the "Glee" panel on Sunday, head on over to Room 23ABC for "What's Hot in Young Adult Fiction" featuring Amanda Hocking, Tahereh Mafi, Stephanie Perks, Laini Taylor, Kiersten White and Andrea Cremer. And speaking of Andrea, when we caught up with the "Wolfsbane" author recently, she could hardly contain her Comic-Con excitement.
"It's like my personal pilgrimage, my thing that I've been waiting for my whole life," she said. "It is my first time. I'm on two panels. The first panel I'm on is about magic and monsters in literature, and I'm really excited because it's a mixed panel of both adult and young adult authors. Obviously there's a huge crossover, but I think adult authors should be talking to young adult authors because there's a lot of really great stuff we can share about writing, themes, plot development. The second panel is 'What's Hot in YA,' and I'm really excited because I looove all the other authors."
If you have plans to sleep in on Sunday—but still want to attend a YA panel—there's always the afternoon session "High School Bites" featuring Scott Westerfield, Laini (again), Debbie Viguie, Anna Carey, Heather Brewer, Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia.
