Well before he had "Friends With Benefits," schooled a "Bad Teacher" or spent too much time on "The Social Network," Justin Timberlake was just another pop star trying to make it big in Hollywood. But thanks to a healthy sense of humor and a dedicated fan base (a sexy pair of abs don't hurt either!), Justin is one of Hollywood's young elite that we love to like.

The transition from musician to actor—and, notably, not back to musician yet—was a decade-long process, all leading up to next week's "Friends With Benefits," the first movie where he can claim full leading-man rights. Since he's such a pretty face to look at, we're going to take you on a journey back in time and explore the evolution of Justin Timberlake.

Now that we've read all seven books and seen all eight movies, we're seriously ailing with Harry Potter Withdrawal. You may recognize the symptoms: lethargy, confusion, compulsively re-reading the series, tweeting @jk_rowling obsessively begging for sequels. In between spontaneous crying jags, we got to thinking about how completely awesome it would be if we could perform even the tiniest bit of magic in real life.

Harry’s signature spell is Expelliarmus, the Disarming Spell; being the noble hero, he opts to disarm his opponents rather than use a killing or pain-inducing incantation. But if we weren’t mere magic-less Muggles, what would our signature spell be? Here are our top five contenders:

To borrow a line from the marketing campaign of another vampire phenomenon, waiting sucks. Ever since we said good-bye to Rose, Dimitri and Lissa in "The Last Sacrifice," we've been eagerly anticipating author Richelle Mead's spin-off series, "Bloodlines." Well, here's something to make the wait a little less...sucky: the first chapter from the August 23 release!

As a quick catch-up, "Bloodlines" follows straight-laced alchemist Sydney, whom you may remember as Rose and Dimitri's reluctant ally in the "Vampire Academy" series. Well, much to her chagrin, Sydney is once again entangled with the Moroi, this time accompanying Lissa's little sister, Jill, to a California boarding school where she's sent for her own safety. But Sydney's not the only familiar face watching over Jill: bodyguard Eddie and lovelorn Adrian are also along for the ride.

If Chris Colfer was feeling saddish about his impending exit from "Glee," this probably cheered him up: "Struck By Lighting," the upcoming film in which Chris occupies dual roles as both lead actor and scriptwriter, just snagged a bevy of Hollywood A-listers for its cast!

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Christina Hendricks (a.k.a. that red-haired powerhouse who fills out a 1960s-era secretary dress like WHOA) has joined the project along with Sarah Hyland of "Modern Family" and Dermot Mulroney of "that movie we are embarrassed to admit having seen approximately 5,000 times."

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Maybe Kristen Stewart should follow the example of her "Breaking Dawn" character Bella Swan and cruise around in an indestructible Mercedes Guardian; the actress was involved in a minor fender bender today in Hollywood. Thankfully, it appears neither Kristen nor the other driver were injured in the mishap, and the two ladies good-naturedly exchanged insurance information.

The 21-year-old "Twilight" star has been enjoying a bit of a break before filming begins on "Snow White and the Huntsman," tending to the kinds of pesky errands us mere mortal face everyday: attending yoga class, renewing her passport and, oh yeah, visiting her ridiculously handsome boyfriend on the set of his Toronto-based movie. You know, just the usual odds and ends.

If you thought director Will Gluck’s raucous dark comedy "Easy A" packed a hilarious one-two punch of dirty jokes and jaw-dropping sexual innuendo (not to mention a heckuva good-looking romantic duo —we’re talking to you, Emma Stone and Penn Badgley), brace yourself for Will’s ante-upping contender "Friends With Benefits."

The casting of the movie’s protagonists—Dylan (Justin Timberlake) and Jamie (Mila Kunis)—is as juicy as its premise. Namely: two pals who fashion a pact to hit the sack sans emotional involvement.

We’re willing to bet that hilarity ensues, but before the film hits theaters Friday, July 22, we decided to do a little digging. Is an IRL relationship like the one showcased in "Friends With Benefits" actually possible? If so, how? And what exactly are the complications? We chatted with clinical psychologist Elizabeth Bowman, PhD, to get the skinny.

During last month's MTV Movie Awards, we gave you your first tantalizing taste of the song-and-dance extravaganza that is "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie," and now the first teaser trailer has debuted on Apple!

The quick-cut clip—set to New Directions' signature Journey cover, naturally—is a mix of performance footage and behind-the-scenes goodies coupled with an "achieve your dreams" message similar to Justin Bieber's big-screen effort "Never Say Never." I'm especially enjoying glimpsing the actors' off-screen personas, as Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) jokes that his ab muscles each have their own food group and Kevin McHale (Artie) asserts that he and Kurt (played by Chris Colfer) "run this whole ship."

Lest you thought that a decade of stardom had gone to the head of all the young actors of the "Harry Potter" films, here's the cutest "Stars! They're Just Like Us!" story EVER. Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, chatted with MTV News' Josh Horowitz on the red carpet before the premiere of " Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"—and recounted the tale of what he called "a terribly embarrassing moment in New York City".

Which is to say, Matthew got caught doing exactly what anybody would do if they were pictured on a giant promotional poster in the middle of Times Square:

"I was with a friend," he explained, "and there was a big 'Harry Potter' poster up in Times Square, and I was pointing out where I was on the poster...and as I point to the poster, someone taps me on the shoulder and says, 'Excuse me, are you Matthew Lewis?'"

We're generally used to seeing the likes of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez at big-time music award shows or even movie premieres, but last night we got a special treat as the totally cute and karaoking duo arrived at the ESPY Awards to honor excellence in sports. Both Sel and the Biebs opted to go all black for the event, and they weren't the only ones. Other stars including "The Voice" judge Cee Lo Green and "Entourage" star Emmanuelle Chriqui also made black their color of choice. But who wore it best? Check out their looks below and let us know what you think.

How can you not love a couple who sings together and color coordinates? While Justin was covered in black from head to toe (well almost, his sneakers had a hint of white and silver spikes), in a dark shirt and sparkly sweater, Selena decided to show a little more skin in a short and shapely dress. Sel accessorized her look with gold baubles and shoes with multiple black straps.

It was television's biggest morning, as the nominations for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmys were announced, and some of our favorite shows and stars found themselves in the running.

While the face of "Glee" is about to look very different after next season (sigh), it's current cast got some Emmy nod love. Chris Colfer, who is one of the confirmed trio departing after season three, will get one more chance to win an Emmy in the Supporting Actor Comedy race. Jane Lynch, who won last year for her hilarious work as the villainous Sue Sylvester will try her hand in the Best Supporting Actress category (whose other nominees this year include the oh-so-adorable Betty White from "Hot in Cleveland" and the hilarious Kristen Wiig of "Saturday Night Live") again. Better yet, Jane will be hosting the ceremony this year!
