At the rate dystopian YA novels are being published, we'll definitely be planning another week (or six) around the theme this fall.
One dark tale of the future we're looking forward to picking up come November is "Shatter Me," by first-time novelist Tahereh Mafi. It's about a girl named Juliette who has the "X-Men"-like power to kill simply by touching people. After doing just that, she's been locked up in solitary confinement for 264 days by "The Reestablishment," and meanwhile, the outside world is crumbling to pieces. It's a killer premise, and the movie rights have already been snatched up by Fox. But we snatched up something of our own: The first look at the book's cover (after the jump!)

Continuing with the bad news "Glee" fans received a few weeks back, which most of you were not excited to hear, Ryan Murphy has apparently confirmed the fact that next season will be the last for the series' breakout stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer.
Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter that Rachel, Finn and Kurt are "not going to be back at all for season four. You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year," he explained.

Fans of ABC's fleet-footed "Dancing With the Stars" probably know Mark Ballas best as one of the show's hunky hoofers. And thanks to a "Harry Potter"-themed routine last season (wizard hat included!), you may even know he's a big fan of the boy who lived. But did you know Mark also played a small part in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"? That's right; Mark is no mere Muggle!
When the triple threat stopped by the MTV News offices a few months ago to chat about his album HurtLoveBox, we were pleasantly surprised to learn about the star's magical past.
"I was actually an extra in the first movie," he revealed. "Me and my foster brother and my whole high school—we went to a performing arts music school, so that's where I studied music and I studied theater. All the top schools for that in London, all the students were extras."

Boy did Matthew Lewis grow up! Over the course of the "Harry Potter" franchise, Matthew has turned into a truly good-looking dude. As if we needed another reason to flock to theaters for the final installment, Matt's newly discovered hotness is definitely getting us into the seats, and it's also the reason he's this week's Hump Day Hottie. He may not have won the Harry Potter World Cup, but he did win this accolade!
Check out this dreamy photo of Matthew, and then keep reading for more details about him!

Vital Stats: This 22-year-old grew up in England, obviously, and began acting pretty early on in his life. In addition to being a skillful ac-teur, he also plays rugby for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. That may explain that new super-hot physique.

After Justin Timberlake convinced Mila Kunis to go out with a Marine who posted a date request on YouTube, it seems that it's time for Justin to also do something for his country.
Corporal Kelsey De Santis is taking a play from Marine Sgt. Scott Moore's book, according to Salon.com, and making her case as to why the "Friends With Benefits" star should take her out on a date.
Hey, considering he made our list of guys we'd ask out via viral video, we totally get where she's coming from. He's super-hot, super-successful and super-funny. Essentially, he's the best kind of guy to date. Kelsey's asking that Mr. Timberlake hit up the Marine Corp Ball with her this November in Washington, D.C.

When it comes to making compelling cinema, there's nothing quite like "Gossip Girl"-style teenage dramz. The old money intrigues, the secrets and lies, the clashes between powerful families and the epic, vibrant backdrop of New York City tying it all together? It's unstoppable! It's unbeatable! And there's no way it could ever be any better...
That is, unless someone took this whole package and put a corset on it.
WHICH SOMEONE JUST DID.
So take this one and file it under Movies That A Pack Of Wild Wildebeests Could Not Stop Us From Seeing: "The Luxe," a film based on the series by Anna Godbersen is being developed by the production team behind "Gossip Girl." The movie takes place in 19th-century New York City and follows four Victorian teenagers through a plot filled with love, lust, scandal and (of course) lots and lots of complicated underwear.

We always kinda loved to hate Olivia Wilde—because she's gorgeous, because she's a brilliant actress and because she's rumored to be dating every single eligible Hollywood hottie we've ever crushed on in our lives. Grrrr! But after reading her interview in the August issue of Marie Claire, we'll amend our opinion as follows: We're still crazy-jealous of her perfect face and list of gorgeous suitors, but we also really want to hang out with her and drink champagne and talk about very serious and important things.
Because Olivia has big, bold ideas, and she's not afraid to express them.
"I'd like to refocus everyone's attention away from the Kardashians and onto Doctors Without Borders or aid workers," she said. "Let's redefine scandal. Scandal is not who so-and-so is dating; scandal is the fact that 1.2 million people are still living in tents in Haiti, and cholera is rampant because Nepalese U.N. soldiers dumped sh-- from their Porta-Potties into the river. That's a f---ing scandal. If the average 15-year-old was hearing about that instead of so-and-so's plastic surgery or cheating in Hollywood, I'd feel better about our future."

"7th Heaven"'s David Gallagher is all grown up! You may have spotted him most recently in J.J. Abram's "Super 8," but we bet you know him best as one of the adorable young Camden siblings. And now he's ready to take on a very different role, joining the vampires, werewolves, witches (and now ghosts!) of "The Vampire Diaries" as Ray Sutton, a werewolf who has a not-so-friendly run in with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), TVLine reports.
David will only be sticking around for the first two episodes, and while we're not sure exactly what fate (if any) he meets, we've got a feeling it'll end up with a ripped out heart or something equally gruesome (can't expect anything less from Klaus, right?).

After an episode spent treading water (swimming pun!), Emily was finally given something to do on last night's "Pretty Little Liars." In fact, she pretty much deserves a spot on the Rosewood PD thanks to her thorough investigation into Ian's mysterious death.
As the liars convened at school to mull over the shocking turn of events, they ran into no-good Officer Garrett who informed them Ian had already been dead a week when his body was found. So unless ghost-texting is a thing now, he couldn't have been the one to send those messages to Melissa. Yet, somehow, this didn't really seem to bother anyone except Em. A well-timed text from A asking if the "suicide" note looked familiar only piqued her interest.
While Emily sniffed for clues, the other liars went about looking for a little (elusive) closure. The poor Hastings were left to arrange Ian's funeral, and by arrange I mean avoid it. That is, until Spencer (of all people) convinced them to hold a small service for the sake of Melissa's sanity. Still feeling all guilty-like for pawning off her sister's engagement ring, Spencer did a little online browsing to see how much a replacement would set her back. But seeing as she has no discernible job or income, everything was out of her price range.

The end is coming for Sookie Stackhouse, and author Charlaine Harris is going to be the lady to finish her off.
When MTV News caught up with Charlaine at the "True Blood" premiere last month, she dished that there were only going to be two more books in Sookie's long-running series (on which the HBO series is based). As fans of both the books and the TV show here at Hollywood Crush, we understand that the two are becoming entirely different beasts, with the main connecting thread the swoon-worthiness of Eric Northman. Let's just say that book 11, "Dead Reckoning," left us in a very different place than "True Blood" is headed, and we're expecting the two series to have significantly different conclusions as well.
Only Alan Ball and HBO know how long the show will end up running, but with the end in sight for the books, fellow fangirl Kara Warner and I have detailed some major things we'd like to have happen before Charlaine closes the book on Sookie for good. Beware, SPOILERS for the novels abound after the jump!
