After months without hearing so much as a peep from Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, we'd been getting desperate for some sex!
As in, "Sex and the City," of course. (Our personal lives are just fine in that area, thank you very much.)
So it's good news, as reported by Deadline, that there's finally been some movement on "The Carrie Diaries"—the "SATC" prequel that takes place during the ladies' senior year of high school and the last best chance for "SATC" fans to get their Carrie fix just one more time.
The latest buzz: The CW is hoping to secure the book for a new series, with the executive producers of "Gossip Girl" at the helm. Which is interesting, since the supposedly baseless rumor was floated earlier this summer that Blake Lively, Emma Roberts, Selena Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen were being eyed for roles in a big-screen adaptation of the series. (And rumor or not, Blake as Samantha sounds like some pretty rad casting.)
But while things look good for "The Carrie Diaries" to get off the ground, it remains to be seen whether anyone still cares about Carrie and Co. enough to actually watch the new show. So, tell us: Would you tune in to see the fab foursome in this prequel project? Are you ready for another round of "Sex"? Vote in our poll below!
