For the past few months, we've breathlessly reported any and all casting news related to the mantastic stripper movie "Magic Mike," starring the taut torsos of Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer. And so it is with equal diligence (though slightly less enthusiasm) that we relay the latest. Namely, someone with XX chromosomes has joined the cast.
IndieWIRE's Playlist reports that up-and-comer Cody Horn has joined the cast as Alex's sister and love interest to Channing. (Lucky lady!) The young actress has appeared on episodes of "The Office" and "Rescue Me," and she's got plenty of projects coming up including the Saoirse Ronan-Alexis Bledel-starring "Violet & Daisy" and Jake Gyllenhaal's "End of Watch."
To be fair, Cody isn't the first actress connected to the flick. Reports circulated over the weekend that Riley Keough, model and granddaughter of Elvis Presley, will also star in the film. But if you're worried about the women quickly outnumbering the men, don't discourage. IndieWIRE reports that there is just one more female role to cast, meaning the ratio will definitely stay in our favor. Plus, rumored cast mate Joe Manganiello counts for at least 1.5 men, right? Dude is HUGE (muscularly speaking).
What do you think about the latest additions to "Magic Mike"?
