Looks like Ryan Gosling—not to mention movie audiences who have flocked to see "Crazy, Stupid, Love" and "The Help"—isn't the only one to fall for Emma Stone this summer! Jim Carrey used his website to post a video that can only be described as a love confessional for the actress. In it, the 49-year-old star looks directly into the camera as he softly describes what their life would be like if they didn't have such a big age difference (she's 22!) and could be together.
The funnyman announces to Emma (and, well the whole freakin' world, really) , "I think you're all the way beautiful, not just pretty. [You're] smart and kind-hearted, and if I were a lot younger, I would marry you." Jim then goes on to describe his fantasy life with Emma, which involves them having a gaggle of "chubby little freckle-faced kids" and "laugh all day long and go camping and play Yahtzee and tell ghost stories by the fire."
While Jim starts to head into TMI territory when he begins to imagine their love life, he later backs off, and concludes his confessional with, "I just wanted to let you know how I felt. I think you're pretty special. I wish you continued success and artistic fulfillment, but most of all I wish you love and contentment. That's all." Ah, just what every girl wants, a very public announcement about your crush on her.
So was Jim being serious or simply trying to make the rising red-headed star laugh? Would they make a good couple (you know, if she weren't supposedly dating Andrew Garfield) or is the age gap just far too wide? Still, no matter what you think of Jim's video (cute or creepy...or a little of both) it just further emphasizes what we and Ryan Gosling—who told MTV News back in June about his co-star, "She's everything, all the time. There's no one like her"—have known all along: Everybody loves Emma!
