On a night dedicated to all things pop, rock and hip-hop, it seems only fitting that the MTV Video Music Award commercial breaks include two new clips from the remake of everyone's favorite cut-loose classic, "Footloose." We have a feeling these high-energy, dance-filled promos will make you want to brush up on your sweet moves while you wait for the flick's October 14 release.
Compared to the earlier, full-length "Footloose" trailer we debuted earlier this summer—in which much of the focus was given to the tragedy that led to the strict no-dancing ban in Bomont—these new teasers have a decidedly different spin. While we still know why these small-town kids (including stars Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough) can't cut a rug anymore, we see more of the results of these rigid rules (read: rebelliousness!). Between the speeding, shattering windshields, flaming buses and, oh yeah, lots and lots of dancing, these teaser are all about having fun and—dare I say it?—cutting loose!
