Oh, "True Blood," how tangled and soap opera-esque your romances and relationships have become. Some may argue that the love connections have always been complicated, what with all the human-on-supernatural action and such, but in my opinion things are getting a bit convoluted in this fourth season.
The most intriguing of the recent character hook-ups, in my opinion, is Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten)—and not necessarily because of the twisted way in which their make out came about in Sunday's episode. When MTV News ran into lovely Deborah recently, we asked for her commentary on both the state of Jessica and Hoyt, as well as the relationship possibilities for Jessica and Jason.
"Here's the amazing thing about our writers, we thought through the first three seasons that they did such a good job bringing [Hoyt and Jessica] together, that they would never be able to break us up," Deborah revealed. "And then this season, even from what we've seen so far, they've done such a good job making it look impossible for Hoyt and Jess to make it, so I actually have total faith in them that if they want to reverse it and bring us back together, that they could do it."

We're still waiting for Warner Bros. to conjure up casting scoop for the big-screen adaptation of Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's magical "Caster Chronicles" (Lena and Ethan weren't among our top 10 most anticipated casting announcements for nothin'!), but in the meantime, we'll tide ourselves over with this tidbit: Little Brown Books for Young Readers is set to publish two new books by Ms. Garcia!
"Unbreakable" and "Unbound" are the first two installments of Kami's new "Legion" series, which will debut in fall 2013. According to Publisher's Weekly, the series "follows a girl named Kennedy Waters, who, when her mother dies, finds out she was part of a secret society that guards the world against a demon trying to escape his realm and come to Earth." Sounds pretty dark and twisty to us (i.e. awesome!).
And following in the footsteps of she and Margaret's "Beautiful Creatures," Kami scored a movie deal before the novel even hit bookstore shelves. Producer Mark Morgan, who worked on "The Twilight Saga" and "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief," is attached to the project.

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to movie makeunders thanks to ugly duckling roles in flicks like "The Princess Diaries" and "The Devil Wears Prada." And the 28-year-old starlet will once again toss her lipstick and concealer to the side to portray would-be writer Emma in this week's romantic drama "One Day."
The film follows Emma—and her complicated relationship with Jim Sturgess' Dex—over the span of 20 years, a concept Anne found more than a little intriguing.
"Initially I thought, 'What an amazing opportunity. How much fun is it going to be to age 20 years?' Then the closer I got to doing the film, I realized that everything had to be noticeable but it also had to be incredibly subtle," she said.

Balloons and a Panem-shaped birthday cake are in order for "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence, who turns 21 today. Happy birthday, Jennifer!
The preceding year certainly was a banner one for the actress. Jennifer went from near-obscurity to critical acclaim in 2010's "Winter's Bone" to landing the much-coveted role of Katniss Everdeen in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' dystopian trilogy. Yet, even though Jennifer is basically a household name now, we bet there are a few things you don't know about the blond (sometimes brunette) beauty.
Keep reading after the jump for 21 trivia tidbits about the birthday girl, and click on the image above to see our flipbook of the gorgeous up-and-coming starlet.
Hilary Duff, who I could've sworn was playing a tweenage heroine on the Disney Channel, like, yesterday, is officially on board the baby-making train! The definitely-no-longer-tween Hilary delighted the bump-watching masses this weekend when she announced that she's expecting a little Lizzie McGuire of her own with hockey-player husband Mike Comrie. (Unless the baby is a boy, in which case...Lizard McGuire? Yep, that works.)
The couple haven't confirmed yet exactly when their bundle of joy will arrive, but presumably Hilary has a few months left to prepare for her new role as a mom. And if she needs any advice, there's certainly a plethora of recently pregnant celebs she can turn to for help! Which famous ladies would have the best helpful hints for impending mommyhood? Here's our list:
We were all on tenterhooks after last week's "Jessica meets the sun" cliffhanger, but the "True Blood" suspense doesn't last long: Jason tackles her as she starts to sizzle, pushes her inside, and kicks the door closed behind him. Not only that, but when the spell breaks a half-second later, they totally make out...
...which prompts Jess to head home as soon as she heals and instantly break up with Hoyt. He blubbers and sobs and begs her to stay, telling her he'll die if she doesn't love him. Jessica's response?
"Then DIE!" she screams, and smashes his head in!
And then goes outside to meet Jason!
Who suggests that they have sex right then and there while she drinks his blood!
And it's all just a little too much, which is why we're not surprised when it turns out to be just a dream—albeit one that reveals a lot about how Jessica feels about Hoyt these days. But when she actually does go home to break his heart, the real Hoyt is cold, angry and mean. He hurls accusations, says some very nasty things about her vampire-issue eternal virginity and then rescinds her invitation to their house.

You guys! It’s here! After countless teasers and scoops these past few weeks (and even one blink-and-you'll-miss-it sneak peek of Damon), The CW has finally released a full-blown, 30-second promo for the new season of "The Vampire Diaries"…and it looks EPIC. From Stefan taking a bite out of the action (literally), to Elena’s longing looks, there’s just too much deliciousness to discuss. Watch the promo now and keep reading below for our breakdown. (Beware! Spoilers abound!)
Okay, first of all, can we please discuss how Stefan is like an entirely different character? I mean, we’ve seen him be bad before but not THIS bad. The gentle soul we knew from seasons past is now off chomping on unsuspecting victims with Klaus by his side, and from what we can tell, one of his late night snacks is a familiar face. (Let’s just say Mystic Falls may be short one news reporter after next season.)

New Directions will venture in, well, a new direction this weekend as their big-screen effort "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" hits theaters. So if you've ever wondered what Cory Monteith looks like 20 ft. tall and in three dimensions, you should probably run to the cineplex, like, right now.
In celebration of our favorite Fox musical series singing and dancing its way into theaters, we're naming one of its stars—Jenna Ushkowtiz, to be exact—this week's Girl Crush!
What did she think of the honor? "It's great," Jenna said. "I mean, it's definitely a responsibility to be looked up to, but it's the coolest thing ever."

It's been a very fashionable week in Tinseltown. Between the Teen Choice Awards, InStyle Summer Soiree and movie premieres for flicks such as "The Help," "One Day" and "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie," we've been salivating over the wonderful assortment of high fashion on display. While stylish stars like Nina Dobrev, Selena Gomez and Emma Stone all looked lovely this week, you'll have to keep reading to find out which "Pretty Little Liar" wins the Style Superstar crown, and which "Glee" gal needs to retake Fashion 101.

Lucy Hale may have won the award for Choice Summer TV Star, but when it comes to style, Shay Mitchell definitely takes the cake. Er, surfboard? We’re used to seeing celebs in pretty flowing gowns, sexy mini dresses and funky asymmetrical frocks—in fact, they’re frequently bestowed with our Style Superstar honor. Shay’s DKNY blouse and skirt ensemble catches our eye because it’s mature yet youthful, something many young Hollywood stars grapple with. That bright red hue really pops, especially against the blue carpet, and all those shining paillettes on the mini skirt? Fabulous. Trendy white nails, a sleek clutch and uber-high platform heels complete this winning look.

Good news "Vampire Diaries" fans! After countless impostors, the real Steven R. McQueen has finally(!) joined Twitter, The CW confirmed.
"I know, I gave into twitter. Thanks for responding to my neglect with all the love. You guys rock!" Steven tweeted from the handle @McQueeninchains, along with a picture of a totally adorbs dog (how much do we love that he's already about the Twit pics?).
