Lily Collins is arguably one of the luckiest girls alive. Not only is she beyond gorgeous, the daughter of a famous singer (Phil Collins) and the on- and off-screen sweetheart of hottie Taylor Lautner, but girlfriend's career is on a major upward trajectory that we don't see slowing down anytime soon.
This month, the 22-year-old actress appears on the cover of Teen Vogue, fulfilling one of her life-long goals. "I don't know if this is too weird to say, but this is completely surreal for me. Bizarre,” she admitted to the magazine. “The cover of Teen Vogue has been on my bucket list forever." How cute is she? Inside the issue, Lily chats about her and Kristen Stewart's dueling "Snow White" films, a certain werewolf and her future in the industry.
About those two "Snow White" movies: Lily assured the mag that they're two totally different films (meaning you'll definitely want to check out both!). "I think the audience may very well enjoy seeing two different versions," she said. "I think that Kristen is perfect for hers."
For the buzzed-about role, Lily unleashed her inner badass, learning how to sword fight. Because she has no plans of ever playing the damsel in distress. "I'm drawn to roles that have real substance that aren't just the victim or the teenage girl or the girlfriend," she said.
This “girl power” trend continues with "Abduction," where she helps Taylor’s character discover his true identity. With "Abduction" being a potential first in a series, Lily is more than excited about the potential of reuniting with her onscreen co-stars, including Taylor. But she remained “hush hush” about their relationship status, answering questions with the standard, “He’s a great guy,” response, driving all of us crazy. "He's a very funny, down-to-earth young man," she added vaguely. COME ON!
Though Lily was tight-lipped about Taylor, she was more than happy to gush about her career and how she'll never limit herself to one genre. She'll soon start shooting an adaptation of the "The Mortal Instruments" series, in which she'll play Shadowhunter Clary Fray. "But I'd also love to do some sort of comedy or a really gritty independent. I loved Jennifer Lawrence's performance in 'Winter's Bone'," she said.
Lily isn’t too worried about her future, and we don’t see why she would be. "I really think everything happens for a reason," she said. With her career only just beginning, there’s no reason to believe she is going anywhere.
